Biography:
Christopher grew up in a very Liberal household, with loving parents who supported him in ‘most’ of his endeavours– always an avid artist who loved animation while in school, he pursued that in his early life, becoming mildly successful, but not successful enough to warrant making it a full time job.
As such, he began to his other passion– sharing knowledge. He began to study teaching as well, dividing his time between his classwork and animation, still keeping both of his interests alive while he worked toward a stable life, one where he could support himself independently and worked on what he loved.
He received his teaching degree at 25, taking time off in between as he’d never found schooling for himself to work so well. But that was why he was in the business of changing it for the next generation. He wanted to be different– he wanted to show kids who may not be as interested in the education system that there were fun and exciting ways to learn, it didn’t have to be a stiff environment where they simply regurgitated information a professor spoke at them.
In the five years between then and now, Chris has spent his time teaching in several schools, high school, college, middle school– but none fit or even allowed his teaching style. He wanted to engage with his students, he wanted them to feel as though they were really learning something, but the school board stopped him every single time, cutting him loose as soon as he tried to change it up.
With a string of failed jobs behind him, Chris finally found St. Brendan’s. A place full of change, and full of opportunity. He’s not interested in the politics the school revolves around, he just wants to help people learn. Being appointed as one of the Dominance Professors, he feels like he can do that– Dominance doesn’t have to be rigid. It can be fluid. He stands behind Nico’s and the school’s belief system, happy that the college gives opportunities to all, and gives everyone a chance to find what works for them. In short, Christopher couldn’t be more excited to teach his students, and he hopes that his stylised ways get through to those around him, and allow for a new way of thinking about education, and teaching.
shoutout to the drummers who don't get very many opportunities to showcase their skills in solos but prove themselves otherwise by going above and beyond in their abilities to not only keep up with, but consistently push to excellence the many tempo, time signature, and stylistic changes that are demanded by their bands
basically I'm talking about chris thatcher and chris tsagakis
