First, it was Necrozma finding her—that was bad enough on its own. She escaped by mashing in some random coordinates and using a wormhole to slingshot herself to a very, very distant universe.

The wormhole tossing Leilani out near the Straw Hats was probably the one stroke of good luck she'd gotten all day, come to think of it.

Near, being the operative word—because of course, she wouldn't be lucky enough to land on the ship, but in the ocean next to it. Jumps always make her dizzy, so she crashes into the water and can barely tell up from down.

And the bad luck just kept on going even after her rescue! Her gear was airtight, so while she wasn't sopping wet... she couldn't get her stupid helmet to open, and it wasn't giving her any more air! (Oh, no, did jumping this far fry the battery?) Finally, she gives up and yanks the whole apparatus off of her head.

Poor kid looks like she's about to pass out, gasping for air like a fish out of water.

"...Thank you...!"

#People keep asking a lot of questions already answered by my 'not a faller' shirt-

Leilani's suit fully protects her from ultra-radiation, as a good space suit ought to. She also has a device from the URS that cloaks her from Ultra Beasts and, more importantly, Necrozma. Her "starblaster" (wormhole device) and all other tech on her suit is powered by that radiation and charges itself whenever she jumps.
