THICKER MEATS
So, I encountered a Corpus security camera on crack. It was only doing this when the game was paused; as soon as I resumed the game, it went right back to normal as if nothing was up.

kyanite: an anger headcanon
Alexius is usually a man of good temper, to the point that a few Tenno find it hard to imagine him angry at all. Beneath the pleasant demeanor, however, there’s a man that’s fiercely protective of his friends and loathes injustice. He wants to be a nice guy, but do not mistaken his kindness for weakness.
There are a few times that Alexius’ rage manifested clearly:
During the Zariman’s time adrift in the Void, when the children started banding together to survive, Alexius was assigned guard duty over the ship’s limited supplies. He’d try to convince any rogue kids, attempting to steal provisions for themselves, to work with the others—but if they came back with the attention of stealing again, he’d kick their sorry asses. He wouldn’t allow the self-interest and trepidation of a few doom the lives of many others.
After the children’s harrowing experience aboard the Zariman, Alexius didn’t expect the treatment they would receive at the hands of the Orokin. He understood the need for quarantine and examination, but he was outraged when the scientists started treating them as lab rats, carting off kids, kicking and screaming, for “extensive testing”. The Orokin dared to divide and isolate them, after all they had been through? He couldn’t bear it. He tried to stop the guards, and as his anger flared, lashed out at them, requiring him to be restrained and incapacitated. He needed to protect his new family, and he fought to keep them safe.
Alexius came to respect and even admire Margulis for treating the Zariman survivors like actual human beings, children nonetheless, who survived a traumatic event. So when Margulis was executed for defying the wishes of the Seven, all the while the Tenno could do nothing within the Second Dream that she had placed them in, he was pissed. He was all for slaughtering the Orokin Elite at the end of the war.
And boy, let me tell you, Alexius was not a happy camper about the predicament presented with the Gradivus Dilemma, in which the Tenno had to choose between saving innocent civilians and saving a cache of Tenno in cryo-sleep. He chose family, but it was not a pleasant time.

REBLOG IF YOU WANT CURIOUS ANONS
Halcyon
steadfast-tenno:
Oberon followed the other’s gaze up the mountain to little avail. The storm was worsening—the snow flurry all but obscured any path upward. Even the mountains themselves were faint silhouettes. At that moment, despite the reprieve that the fur offered from the cold, Oberon shivered. “I do not know if I have the strength,” he admitted with candor. He could no longer feel his legs, he realized, and his fingers, now tucked within the cloak, burned.
Though inaudible to the other, Harka let out a snort beneath his mask. Pathetic.
With grace he lifted the other off of his feet with one swift motion, already beginning to walk off towards shelter before Oberon could even begin to get comfortable. Before long they would arrive at the entrance to a cave, decorated with bone chimes that clinked together as the winds blew past. The opening to the cave was covered with thick leather flaps, much like a tent.
Harka carried the other well into the cave, finally setting him down next to the remnants of an earlier fire, now nothing but glowing cinders. Immediately Harka set to rekindling the flame, fetching an armful of logs and carefully lighting them with a spark of flint. Within several minutes the logs began to burn, lighting the cave with a warm glow.
Oberon shivered still, but it wasn't nearly as violent. He pulled the soft pelt tightly against himself and sat as close to the enticing fire as he dared. He remembered long summers spent in quiet repose, basking in the sun's rays in secret glades, yet he couldn't recall anything warming him more than this meager flame. In his stupor, Oberon forgot about his savior until he noticed that the horned being did not join him beside the fire he had made. He turned and saw him standing apart, whatever face he had, if he had one at all, inscrutable underneath what appeared to be a helmet. Regardless, Oberon expressed, "My thanks."

True to his word, Vian didn’t mention it for the rest of their visit to the relay. Yet Alexius could see the anticipation in his eyes, a giddy delight in his step. He was far too amused by this discovery. It wasn’t until they returned to their shared room aboard the Orbiter that Alexius felt comfortable enough to discuss it.
“I find pregnancy attractive,” he confessed. “And to answer your earlier question, no, it isn’t the actual act of impregnating someone. Well, it is, but that’s not what I ever intended with you, the not telling you.” The words started pouring out without forethought or composure. “I never asked because I assumed you took contraceptives, and because I took stuff. I didn’t want to bring attention to it, and I never told you about all this for… obvious reasons.” This was such a mess.
“Baaaabe, I was joking.” Vian mused, bringing his arms up around Alex’s neck. “I’m on some too, so quit fretting.” Closing the gap between them, he gave Alex a kiss on the cheek, nuzzling his face. “But you still gotta tell me more about this. Like, I’ve never met anyone with this kind of fetish. …Or maybe I have, and I just don’t know? Hmm.” Casually, one hand wandered down to give Alexius’ ass a firm squeeze.
Alexius tensed a little at the grip. "Well, it's... hard to put to words." Mainly because he never thought he would need to. Where would he even start? After a moment of consideration, he decided he'd say whatever came to mind. "You know I'm not easily attracted to people," he iterated, taking Vian's hands in his. "Only you, really. I can appreciate someone's body, but it's fleeting. I feel no need to pursue it, I feel no envy, no want."
He gently separated from Vian and started pacing the room. "But every time I see someone pregnant... it's like seeing something and wanting some for yourself, but not wanting to take that thing for your own. Like a reminder, but for something you've never had. Wistful. I only started feeling this way after the Zariman, once I got older, and only whenever I'm reminded of its existence. I don't think about it most of the time."
He paused briefly in contemplation. "I guess at the heart of it, I miss family." Memories were still tricky after all this time, but feelings were easier than details. The loving embrace of his mother, the warm laugh of his father. "That's why I've always treat everyone like family." His voice sank a little. "I didn't want to be alone." He sounded almost ashamed of expressing that. "And... whenever I see someone expecting, I think that they got someone caring for them, that they aren't alone. It's unrealistic to think that, but I can't help it. I think two people love each other enough that they're willing to make the ultimate commitment. And you see it with your own two eyes, in how one's body changes. You see the product of two people's love. Seeing that, how can I not want something similar for myself?" There was a dull, familiar ache in his chest. He had thought about this before.
"But it's a dream. Of what could be, if things were different. It's not something in my future." His voice took a firmer tone. "It'd be irresponsible to raise a kid. We're just barely learning how to live as people again, never mind the fact that we're at war." He referred to the Tenno as a whole now, not just himself and Vian. "Maybe if the system was calmer, if we made an actual dent in the Corpus and Grineer and all, but there are no signs of that happening anytime soon. We wouldn't have the time. It's always one emergency after another, with moments of respite separated by weeks. That’s no way to raise a child. And how can you consciously have a child when both parents risk their lives on a daily basis, and the chance that neither of them may come back home day is very much a reality? Hell, I don't know if we even can reproduce anymore, with all the damage from the radiation. We take things because we were taught that as kids and to err on the side of caution, but what if we can't? And what if we can, but we'd only—" He stopped himself short, having realized the aggravation in his voice. He was angry. Angry at himself, for letting himself get caught, for having ever entertained such inane fantasies. He should’ve been grateful for what he had. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath to center himself. "It's a dream,” he repeated, more for his own benefit than his listener’s. “And a rather distant one at that.” He sighed then. “You can see why I've kept this a secret."
There was a long pause. "Besides, it's considered rude to ogle." He only sounded half joking, as if he were trying to cheer himself up and wasn’t succeeding.
steadfast-tenno:
His cheeks flustered with heat, Alexius gave a cursory look around, hoping no one had heard his stupid boyfriend. At the same time, he wanted to defend himself. “It’s not like that, just…” He stopped himself short with a huff. “Vee, please.” It wasn’t often that he resorted that nickname, having always made a point to learn people’s names. “I’ll tell you anything, let’s just go off to the side or something.” He sounded totally resigned to his fate. There was no avoiding the subject with his imp of a boyfriend.
“You’re so cute when you’re flustered, I hate it.” Vian pouted sarcastically, pursing his lips. He pointed an accusatory finger in Alexius’ direction. “Fine, fine. But you owe me all the details when we get home. I want to know aaaalll about this kink of yours.”
True to his word, Vian didn't mention it for the rest of their visit to the relay. Yet Alexius could see the anticipation in his eyes, a giddy delight in his step. He was far too amused by this discovery. It wasn't until they returned to their shared room aboard the Orbiter that Alexius felt comfortable enough to discuss it.

"I never asked because I assumed you took contraceptives, and because I took stuff. I didn't want to bring attention to it, and I never told you about all this for... obvious reasons." This was such a mess.
steadfast-tenno:
Alexius’ teeth clenched in panic at the rising tone of Vian’s voice. “Quiet down.” He didn’t need one of his very few secrets in the world, let alone an embarrassing one, becoming public information. “What do you want me to say?” Anything that’d end the conversation. Without waiting for an answer, he whispered, “Fine. I find it hot, okay? Can we not talk about this in the middle of a market?”
Vian was practically bouncing up and down with glee at Alexius’ admittance of his interest. It took effort for him to keep his cool in a moment like this.
“Don’t be embarrassed, babe. I’m into way weirder shit than you are.” He chuckled, patting Alex’s shoulder. “Though, I am totally curious about this. You’ve got to tell me more. Like, what is it? Is it like, the actual act of getting someone pregnant? Because like, we’ve had plenty of unprotected sex before, and I mean, you never even asked me if I was on any kind of birth control. Did you do that on purpose? Ooh, you kinky little bastard…”
It was rather obvious what Vian was trying to do with this whole charade… and it was working– Alexius’ cheeks were bright red.
His cheeks flustered with heat, Alexius gave a cursory look around, hoping no one had heard his stupid boyfriend. At the same time, he wanted to defend himself. "It's not like that, just..." He stopped himself short with a huff. "Vee, please." It wasn't often that he resorted that nickname, having always made a point to learn people's names. "I'll tell you anything, let's just go off to the side or something." He sounded totally resigned to his fate. There was no avoiding the subject with his imp of a boyfriend.
steadfast-tenno:
“I do not have a crush,” Alexius refuted. He was being honest about that much. Good thing too, because he noticed a hint of jealousy in Vian’s voice. Hardly anyone caught Alexius’ gaze, so it was no surprise Vian was defensive. Alex assured him, “I’m only interested in you, love.” This was just… a momentary lapse, totally uncharacteristic.
Alexius’ adorably honest answer made Vian think a bit harder on the matter. So, if Alex wasn’t into her, then why was he staring?
Then it hit him.
The smile that spread across his face was that of a madman.
“Oh, no fuckin’ way.” Vian turned around to do a double take, as if to reassure himself– but now it was obvious to him. He almost wanted to slap himself for not putting the pieces together earlier.
“Holy shit, Alex…” Vian sounded like he was going to break out into laughter at any second. He placed his hand on Alex’s shoulder, “Why didn’t you tell me you were into that?!”
Alexius' teeth clenched in panic at the rising tone of Vian's voice. "Quiet down." He didn't need one of his very few secrets in the world, let alone an embarrassing one, becoming public information. "What do you want me to say?" Anything that'd end the conversation. Without waiting for an answer, he whispered, "Fine. I find it hot, okay? Can we not talk about this in the middle of a market?"
steadfast-tenno:
“What, no!” he sputtered, almost in indignation. But his face reddened more. He couldn’t hide the truth. His attempts were achieving the opposite effect, he realized. Suddenly, the presence of Vian’s arm felt like a vise.
Vian grinned, “Ooooh, someone’s got a crush.” He teased, his grip on Alex tightening. “Mm, but it’s not just her, is it?” He moved in front of Alex, crossing his arms. “Unless it is, in which case– fuck you, I’m way more attractive. And I’m actually interested in you.” He was mostly joking, but there was something beyond that.
"I do not have a crush," Alexius refuted. He was being honest about that much. Good thing too, because he noticed a hint of jealousy in Vian's voice. Hardly anyone caught Alexius' gaze, so it was no surprise Vian was defensive. Alex assured him, "I'm only interested in you, love." This was just... a momentary lapse, totally uncharacteristic.
steadfast-tenno:
“Nothing!” Alexius deflected with all the grace of a poor liar, the kind that was always mortified at having been caught doing something they shouldn’t. He quickly averted his eyes from their previous interest, his face rosy with embarrassment. He prayed Vian hadn’t seen what had caught his attention so.
Vian squinted a little, his arm snaking up and wrapping around Alexius’ neck, pulling tight. “You’re not looking at that pregnant lady over there, are you?” He mused, raising an eyebrow.
"What, no!" he sputtered, almost in indignation. But his face reddened more. He couldn't hide the truth. His attempts were achieving the opposite effect, he realized. Suddenly, the presence of Vian's arm felt like a vise.
@steadfast-tenno
“You really shouldn’t stare, you know.” Vian mumbled, jabbing his elbow into Alexius’ side. Ever curious, he leaned in to see just what Alex was looking at, eyes scanning across the crowd of people gathered in the area. “Who are you looking at, anyway?”
"Nothing!" Alexius deflected with all the grace of a poor liar, the kind that was always mortified at having been caught doing something they shouldn't. He quickly averted his eyes from their previous interest, his face rosy with embarrassment. He prayed Vian hadn't seen what had caught his attention so.
