First of all I wanted to thank for producing art, I absolutely love your style. It might not be much but I've been learning a lot from your drawings and it made me curious about one thing.

Who were the artists that pushed you from the start and ended up serving as a base for your art today? Do you still have them as favourites?

Sadly, my memory fails me and i genuinely dont remember my earliest inspirations. And I have a hard time pinning them down anyway as they are a mixed bag of pretty much everything that left any kind of impression on me.

i thought that "hladilnik" and "stedilnik" were different gendered versions of the same name, not kitchen appliances, but while trying to figure out what they mean Google told me "that's a stove, here's a picture" and showed me a possum girl so I want to thank you for personally helping to poison the AI summary well 🫡

Luckly the one thing that's probably keeping half of the country from stumbling on my art whenever they look up a stove is the fact that the proper spelling of the appliance is "Štedilnik" (shte-deel-nick, like the sh in sheep).

Sted feels nicer to say in english tho.

what breed is your bunny? she looks like a lionhead a bit, but she's fluffy enough that she looks like my satin angora bun when she's growing her coat out. either way very cutes!! sending head scritches for buny.

Got any images of in progress stuff? Or any insight into your drawing process really, I am curious.

I dissociate and bruteforce scribble till it hits just right. Results depend on my mood and level of inspiration. Too rough, it looks like ass, too overdone, it looks stiff and lifeless.

I regularly get frustrated and scrap a days worth of work because it lost the sauce somewhere along the way. I regularly forget to take breaks and use references/proper workflow because im stubborn.

Honestly, not the best way to go about it. I am trying to go about it better (concious use of construction and perspective, more thougtful strokes) but i keep slipping into old habits (rawdog scribbling).

I suggest learning from people who do this for a living, im just some guy with a hobby.

why does the numbers website list your artist name as hladilnik?

Just asking because of the BS regional regulations, most of your work doesn't show up anymore on the site, and I've no idea what new work has been hidden and ive missed. Is there anywhere else all your work can be conveniently viewed?

I don't really post that much often anyway so you aren't missing out on much. Im still active here or on bsky.

Your art is probably on the top of my favorites honestly, your characters, your little stories, the grittiness and scratchiness of it, has always scratched my brain just the right way... it's always a joy to see it pop up in my feed or see it out and about somewhere else on the internet. So keep on drawing :) (Your photographs of the places you go to are also lowkey always beautiful.)
