if u consider yourself a horror fan you like NEED to be aware and educated on the ableism thats been put at the heart of so much horror. like... is that character actually scary or do they just have a limp/scars/disfigurement that real normal people have irl and have to see depicted as horrifying and dehumanizing? if you think any of those things or things like it are scary in ANY context you need to step away from the horror genre and familiarize yourself with the fact that people can and do look like that and they do not deserve to be an object of fear

anyways listen mona is incredibly work/family oriented and basically her whole character revolves around her determination as an idol, her relationship with her fans, her relationship with her family, and the work she does and wants to do. this being her character while most other honeyworks characters either actively are in relationships or have love interests, or are interested in romance. mona shows absolutely no interest in being in a romantic relationship as far as im aware. mona is aromantic FOR SURE!!!!!! and i also think she is asexual because its my headcanon i make the rules. thank you.

I agree with the aroace Mona headcanon even if she said she decided romance is prohibited for now for the sake of her goals. It just fits her. If she really wanted to be in a relationship she probably could fit it into her life despite being a celebrity, just like her sister does.

She was never shown expressing interest in romance in any of the songs she’s shown in. Most of them depict her at work, but if haniwa wanted her to have any, to say, persoanl matters they would show that. The only time she stated that she wanted love was in the context of her fans loving her which is far from romantic. At times she even feels uneasy wanting to be loved even like this.

She does state that love is anyway important to her, saying it’s the thing that helps her to live on and move forward, but it’s kind of love that people who support her give like her fans, people she works with and her family.  

Some could say she seems jealous of her sister’s boyfriend. But I think it’s more like she doesn’t really understand why her sister would choose to pursue a relationship while it could easily even ruin her career and the sheer amount of effort she has to put into maintaining it. If Mona herself doesn’t want to be involved romantically with anyone it’s natural to me she would be confused as to why her sister still chooses to go through wiht it.

She’s happy for her sister tho.

One misleading line could be the one where she says she likes one of her sister’s friends, as far as I understand, but later in the song she just expresses her admiration for her sister and I think it could also be interpreted as her wanting to be admired just like her sister is by her friends and everyone else for how stylish and talented she is.

Also bonus for that expession of disinterest seeing her paretns express affection to eachother compared to her sister’s smile.
