Nienna Mahariel (she/her)
Hero of Ferelden, Warden-Commander, dual-wield rogue. ranger specialization. her mabari is named Caspian. After Awakening, Nienna joins Zevran in Antiva.

piercings: spiral piercing in her left eyebrow, right nostril stud, various ear piercings, both nipples.
tattoos: her Dalish vallaslin (June) on her face and neck, Sabrae clan deer on her left shoulder/upperarm, phases of the moon on her shoulder blades, grey warden crest beneath that, a crow on the inside of her left wrist (as sort of an inside joke between her and Zevran) half sleeve of vines and poppies on her right arm, various others i haven't decided on yet

personality:
Nienna is blunt, stubborn, kind but not exactly nice, and sarcastic. She’s very guarded with her feelings, and doesn’t form connections with others easily or freely, but those that do get her to take down her walls are people she would do anything for. She can seem a bit harsh and abrasive, but it’s a defense mechanism. She cares a lot more than she appears to, and does good deeds for the good of them and never for the accolades. She was still very childish and immature prior to becoming a warden, fighting the blight forces her to grow up.
Sasha Surana (she/her)
Warden-Constable, blood, spirit and entropy mage. her mabari is named Weevil. After Awakening, Sasha and Jowan set off finding a cure for the calling, Sasha believes her studies into blood magic as a healing practice holds the answer.

personality:
Sasha is kind, compassionate, forgiving, and patient. She wears her heart on her sleeve. She loves reading and learning, has a special interest in entomology. She's more interested in the theoretical applications of magic and how different schools can be used for healing. At first, she isn't confident in her combat magic capabilities, but she quickly adapts to a surprisingly brutal and efficient battle magic style during the blight. Outside of magic, her biggest hobby has always been entomology.

Amaryllis may seem harsh and abrasive, even aggressive but it's only she has little patience for trivial nonsense and a short temper. At heart she is a kind person who's had to be strong to survive. She wants to keep her friends and family safe and little else matters to her.
Cadence Maremaya Lavellan (any pronouns)
inquisitor, rogue archer, assassin specialization (though in my heart she's a bard why didn't dai have bards) age: 29 during prologue, mid-30's during Trespasser height: 5'9

family: Vidri Lavellan (older brother, he's a mage and was first to the keeper before leaving the clan to join Cadence at Skyhold, he and Dorian are together), unnamed parents and much younger sister (because they aren't really part of her life), she grows to consider the Chargers her family.
personality:
Cadence is unabashedly loud, charismatic, outgoing, and blunt. She's a people person, she likes understanding others and learning what makes them tick. She has a big personality and privately worries about being "too much" for other people. This has caused some commitment issues, she had plenty of flings but no serious relationships prior to Iron Bull.
She has conflicting feelings about her religion and her former life with her clan. She's always run away from responsibility to go exploring or to hang out in human towns performing songs in taverns. Once she's got the anchor and can't go home or anywhere else it forces her to face a lot of hard truths. She regrets taking her clan for granted, and does everything in her power as inquisitor to make things better for her people.
Valentine de villiers (he/him)
DAI companion oc. He's a dual wield rogue, bard, artist, duelist, mercenary, really just a jack of all trades. Valentine has two cats with him at Skyhold, a gray tabby named Juniper and a black cat named Cypress. (He always names his cats after trees/flowers/plants/etc as those are one of his favourite subjects to paint.) Valentine is in both my canon and alternate world states.

personality:
Val is flirty, rowdy, sarcastic, petty, flighty, bound to whims of his wanderlust and hedonistic tendencies. He has expensive tastes he's usually stolen to satiate. He's overly confident as a defense mechanism. He likes to believe and act as if he doesn't take anything seriously and has excelled so well in keeping up the ruse that he's even fooled himself. On the rare occasion he actually wants to open up to someone, he struggles greatly with it. He doesn't know who he is or what he wants to be, jumping from place to place, job to job, hobby to hobby. The death of his youngest sister causes him to reevaluate the way he lives and how he copes.

Yvonne is introverted, quiet but not stoic, and has always preferred the company of wisps, spirits, and animals to people. Outside of necromancy they're invested in orinthology and have always kept birds. Yvonne has struggled with OCD and depression their whole life as well as chronic migraines. The routines and rituals of the necropolis are a source of endless comfort for them and they've devoted their life to it and the mourn watch, the only home they've ever known.

Outgoing and charismatic to a fault, Ulrike has the fundamental need to be liked. to be the funniest person in the room. to make people happy and help them forget about their problems. She struggles with taking things seriously but genuinely cares so much. She's fiercely loyal and a ride-or-die friend. While she has a knack for it and enjoys it, necromancy has always been simply a job to her. Her true passions lie with cooking, baking, and alchemy and she reads anything she can get her hands on.
