“A documentary called ‘Bad Rap.’ It talked about the Asian American experience and trying to break into the music scene here. I didn’t realize how prejudiced in the industry was here in America. It’s definitely better in Korea,” Yo-Han said proudly. “We have Americans, Thai, and even Japanese people in K-pop groups all the time and they’re loved, not shunned. It just goes to show that America needs to learn more from us than just policy.”
Stella frowned slightly. “I guess that’s true but they aren’t the most accepting of everything.” She couldn’t help but think of the way she was often treated when she went to visit her father’s home country. Her grandparents always made her feel as if she didn’t belong.
