Rules for Inclusion

Might as well put it on Tumblr.

The star must have one of the following: - A proper name. All examples - A Bayer designation. All examples - A Flamsteed or Gould designation. - Notable stars with variable star designations, especially if they're the prototype of said variable types. Stars like BY Draconis, UV Ceti, or RS Canum Venaticorum are allowed, but not something like CG Cygni. - Can be named after people, which propels it to proper name whether recognized by the IAU or not. - Stars that are notable for extreme properties e.g. R136a1 or Stephenson 2 DFK 1 or a planetary system of more than five planets. - Other components of binary systems are allowed if they have a separate designation other than [star name] B/C/D. Inclusion on the HR Diagram (e.g. Main table) requires only proper names for B and A class stars. - Rules for white dwarves and the "extras/nonperiodics" are loosened. - Stars designed before posting are automatically grandfathered in. last updated 21/07/2026

Tried and failed at referencing that poetry in her updated design, but she now wears a headscarf since Canopus (locally called Suhail/Soheil) holds significant cultural importance in the Middle East.
