she with the dragon blood
Okay I need a second.
Because oh my god, this is so kick-ass and utterly perfect.
I know the Kisara we saw in the Ancient Egyptian/Millenium World arc had a quiet and sometimes-labelled-meek characterisation, but we have to remember that she was also brave and bold enough to want to protect Seto ad threw herself in the path of danger to ensure that.
But this was also a girl who had been treated as a pariah and had little to no idea of the true power she held within her. But we, as the reader/watcher/consumer have to also realise that we are told multiple times that Kisara possesses a ka that is one of the most powerful ever seen. Shada even says her power is ‘equal to that of the Egyptian gods’. She could hold her own with those gods, she just lacked the training that the Pharaoh and Priests were afforded; she didn’t have that privilege. She also never had the time to develop her gift.
Imagine if she did.
Imagine the weapon she could have been.
Seated as Seto’s side and the Legendary White Dragon to protect the realms of Upper and Lower Egypt. I like to think she would be like this artwork. A kind and caring soul, but do not fuck with her or the ones she cares about, because she will unleash holy hell on you.
Also, to the amazing artist; the placing of the dragons is perfect, I adore it. I love how determined Kisara looks and the shading, with the use of light to show the dragons looming (very Daenerys if I do say so) is utterly brilliant!!!
Sorry for spamming the artwork, I just have a lot of feelings!!
Jonouchi's first instinct after waking up was to rush over to check on and comfort Rishid after Rishid unintentionally zapped them both. Jonouchi really does want to be a good person, even if he might fumble sometimes. (IRL you're not supposed to yank around a collapsed person but it's YGO. Jonouchi comes back from death later. Whatever.)
It's sweet that they can greet each other like this later on:
yusei ⭐
what would you do . if we accidental kissed at satellite 😳
this picture 😭😭 I can’t really explain what I find funny about this
King of Timing 👑
Things are going great
he's dead
none of them would survive surfing in real life (except takeru). all these cs majors and not a single core muscle to be seen
Jonouchi: Today I was in the elevator with Yugi and I heard him say "I love you" and since I'm a good bro and I'm not rude I answered with "I love you too" Jonouchi: *sighs sadly* Jonouchi: Turns out he was talking to the pharaoh and I didn't notice it.

actually so fascinated by the fact atem is 15. this is really important to me. hes 15. he was king of egypt. he died at 15. he sacrificed his life at 15.
its true that teenagers as a culture didnt exist until long after ancient egypt, and generally speaking in times as old as that, adulthood came a lot sooner, so its not like this fact is an outlier for the time period, but that just makes it that much more interesting to me. In a time when people, statistically speaking, had shorter lives, his life was even shorter than that.
I think a lot about core memories that I have as an adult now. And like. I have core memories I developed at 18, at 20, and Atem never even got that far. For him, developmentally, there were probably still a lot of Firsts he never got to live through. Or a lot of Introspective Philosophical breakthroughs he never got to have because he didn't live long enough to have the experience required to have them in the first place.
I wish there was more about that in the manga. Atem, who woke up and thought he was Yuugi, who had teenager problems for just a moment, before Shaadi came and took it away. Did he ever think about that? Did he ever think about his short life and the insurmountable responsibility placed upon him and wish for a moment that he didn't need to worry about destiny? Throughout the entire story he is so confident in it, so , just, willing to sacrifice it all over again because it's his destiny. What does that do to a person?
Even after he leaves, he's separated from the second life he was given and returned to the afterlife, torn away again from what he knows, like destiny is more important.
Did he ever yearn for freedom? Do you think seeing Kaiba break the laws of reality just to see him again made him feel some kind of way?
ppl "there are no ethical billionaires"-ing Kaiba is kinda true and funny, but also he's a 15-year-old who stole a war criminal's fortune so he could 1) dismantle the military industrial complex and 2) Make Fortnite Real
all the kaibacorp employees would be like “can we have a good wage and benefits” and he would be like yeah sure okay whatever because he’s too busy building an entire theme park specially designed to kill one specific kid over a children’s card game
Wages, benefits and bonuses are directly proporsional to their skills in dueling and strenght of their deck.
Because how could it not.
on my 5d's/kdh crossover agenda!
