Already decided on several changes to the story from whenever the hell I last worked on it

I dont have a fully put together thesis about it, but I think that the way Anzu and Jonouchi handle their relationship with Yami is very interesting when played in parallel.

Anzu sees any sort of relationship with Yami as something she does want, but which is also incompatible with her future. their paths will drive them to opposite sides of the world and so she wants to hold onto the present for what time they have left.

Jou meanwhile sees a relationship with Yami as- almost integral to his future in a way. He wants to continue to change and become more confident in himself and a better duelist and person and be someone worthy of standing equal to Yami. He doesn't have the same sort of ambitions for his future like Anzu does, but he knows he wants to stay at Yami's side (it's the brightest his life has ever been).

You know something I really like about MHA? The fact that, in the end, Izuku was just some guy.

His parents weren't anyone important. He wasn't All for One's estranged son. He wasn't All Might's secret lovechild. He wasn't Nana's grandson, or a descendant of any other One for All user. He wasn't born with the best Quirk, or born with anything that would inherently give him an advantage. He didn't have a prophecy saying he'd be a great Hero. In fact, the only guy in the series who made prophecies was proven wrong about a lot of things in general and Izuku in particular.

He was a chosen one, yes, but not chosen by the gods or by fate or by any other higher purpose. He was chosen by All Might, who proved himself to be a very mortal, very fallible person, though one with a good heart and a drive for heroism. And he was chosen because he did something that anyone could do, but that very few people would do. An ordinary task that was extraordinarily rare.

Whether you love him or hate him, I can appreciate a protagonist who explicitly isn't God's specialest boy.

This Dan Piraro comic always makes me cry.

When I lived in London there was a murder of crows that lived near me. I fed them often, they brought me presents (shiny rubbish and cigarette butts they found on the floor to thank me.)

When I moved, I’m certain they understood I was leaving because I had all my stuff and gave them lots of food and compliments.

But, they chased down my friend who lived in the next burrough over. They had recognised that friend with me several times and followed them to their house when they couldn’t find me.

They adopted my friend and it was now my friend’s job to bring them snacks and receive the presents.

This was maybe 6-7 years ago.

I visited London last year. Went to see my friend. The crows all not only recognised me, they tracked me down. We got into my friend’s flat and not twenty minutes later there was chaos on the balcony.

We open the curtains, the entire fucking murder is there shouting because they wanted to see me.

Crows are the very best birds.
