dear brother... (1974) by riyoko ikeda
Stevie Boebi is a lesbian youtuber who created sex ed videos for lesbians! She recently made a video explaining how youtube suppressed her content due to homophobia even though sex ed is generally allowed and monetized. Thats why she's so difficult to find!
Having specific sex ed for lesbians is so useful, I don't think I ever had any and I've learned everything from tumblr or fanfictions. Which is not great. It made me realize we do need more of this content! Baby lesbians should get all education they need, with zero shame or lesbophobia in it.
The new Kelala album is so good I love life im not suicidal anymore im healed i love Kelala ❤️❤️❤️
I need to rewatch shades and Clairebell the Thai gl drought hitting me so bad
if you're quiet as an adult they kill you
current social media discourse about lesbians sounds to me like
hey gurl✨, newsflash🌈: it's totally absolutely OKAY⭐ to be HETERO!!🧚♀️ you don't need to be gay🤹♀️ to be gay🧞♀️! isn't that neat🫦 and valid👀? now come on, send all your thoughts 🧠 and prayers 🙏 to everyone 🙆♀️ who likes👍 penis 💋💅
It’s so bleak that almost every GNC lesbian online goes by some variation of he and/or they pronouns, and that so many have gotten their breasts surgically removed and/or are taking wrong-sex hormones. I hate that it’s becoming normalised, encouraged, and dare I even say expected for lesbians to identify out of womanhood and get surgeries and take wrong-sex hormones that negatively impact health. I hate that this is being pushed as a part of the lesbian experience. I hate that young lesbians’ role models are telling them they need to surgically and medically alter themselves to be happy and desirable as a lesbian. And I wish that more women were proud to be homosexual women. I wish that young lesbians had more role models telling them that it’s okay to be gay, and that they’re perfect exactly as they are.
It's isolating for the butches and gncw who choose not to do these things. If I go to a "Butch" event* I end up in a sea of dysphoria triggers. A crowd of women reminding you that you're not a normal woman ("what are your pronouns 😊?"). Women actively taking t and saving up for top surgery or gushing about their results. If I want an event where women are ok with their bodies and use "she" pronouns it's transphobic and needs to be blacklisted.
*and the 'butch' transwomen would be there sticking up the joint
This reminded me of a tif coworker I have who once said she used to be a lesbian before she transitioned but now she likes men too and has a boyfriend. Guess what I found out? Her "boy"friend is *also* a tif. It's a goddamn butch4butch lesbian relationship with extra steps and heaps of dysphoria, apparently 🤦♀️

Western lesbian representation is so bad. It's either the series gets cancelled, a character dies, they don't get screentime, or the storyline only focuses on the homophobia they face.
Meanwhile in Thai GL, there have been over 30 series announced in 2025 alone. And let me tell you, there's something for everybody. Childhood best friends to lovers, period drama lesbians, boss x employee trope, space lesbians, multiple couples and love triangles, mafia action lesbians, idol x bodyguard trope, lesbian with powers to control time, prisoner lesbians, crime-solving lesbians, messy sapphic friend groups who are all in love with each other, high-school sweethearts, weddings, happy endings and so much more. And this is just the beginning. There will be many more great series to come in the future.
The only thing that's stopping more western people from watching is because of subtitles. Which is such a pity because these people say "there's no good lesbian representation" but there is. You just have to be better at looking for it. Don't set yourself up for disappointment anymore, don't watch something for the bare minimum representation.
As Bong Joon Ho once said:
sword pull (black rose arc)
episodes 15, 17, 18, 20, 21
I lied I miss newjeans
Seeing people especially bisexuals and lesbians treat butches/mascs/gnc women as men pisses me off
this world is so cruel to girls
I missed blogging here
