This is also where I found a stray cat, she was up in there during a thunderstorm and I begged my dad to let me being her inside and that’s the story of how I got my first cat.

@marielgum ‘s little Fondest Memory project got me feeling nostalgic about how I first stumbled upon Jack and this community, so I went back to rewatch some of the first videos I ever saw, one of which was “It’s Always Monday”! :D

I remember this little motivational speech at the end so distinctly because it was just what I needed to hear- at the time I was very lonely and didn’t feel like I belonged anywhere, and everything Jack said here was exactly what I’d needed to hear from someone who would quickly become my hero :)

It’s incredible to think now… I’ve been here for almost 2 years, I’ve made some of the greatest friends in the world. I’m finally going to see Jack in real life in November at the Dublin show. The channel just hit 20 million family members, and most of all, Jack’s morals have never shifted. He has always stayed true to things like this, about how much the community and connection mean to him. And about how his videos are like being with a friend, because that’s exactly how it always feels <3 :’)

This is beautiful. He’s so genuinely good. It really does feel like he’s there as a friend to keep each of us company. When I found him, that was what I needed most in the world because I was so desperately lonely. I haven’t had to feel lonely at all since I started watching his videos every day and interacting with this lovely community. I’m so happy you found him and found your way here, too, Boop. 💚
