An aesthetic board for my friend and rp partner @step-into-my-office. A little gift I wanted to give to you. I hope you like it :D
Barry smiled as he wrote the name down on the cup, nodding as he jotted down the quick notes for what the drink was and what was needed. “Alright, so a white mocha with some hazelnut syrup Got it. You’re order will be ready soon.” He smiled at the blonde woman before handing the cup off to the other barista to make it. “Next!”

Ryan smoothed her hands over her scrubs, trying not to seem like a disheveled mess after an overnight clinical shift. As the man called next she stepped forward, brushing a loose strand behind her ear. “Hi, uhh.. can I get a latte with chocolate syrup and a shot of espresso?” Her voice wavered a little, she never did well speaking to attractive people, never. Fumbling for her wallet she slid him a ten dollar bill, mentally slapping herself.
With a smile on his face he grabbed the paper cup and marker and turned to the young woman. “No problem! What’s your name?” he asked, giving her a bright and expectant smile.
She looked familiar. He couldn’t tell if he had seen her come in before or if she had been in one of his classes at the time. He could be wrong as well considering she looked to be a nursing student based on the scrubs she wore. He just couldn’t place it.
Her jade eyes locked with his for a second, the look akin to a deer in the headlights “R-ryan.” The redhead stammered, good job you forgot your own name for a second. She tried to calm her own heart rate, but it wasn’t proving successful.
She noticed the look he had, almost as if he was trying to figure out something to remember her. Then again, why would he remember her? This is New York with thousands of people dropping by the shop a day. Still, she wanted him to remember her, for some reason she needed to remember and see him as well, every day after clinicals and before classes.
“Alright, Ryan,” Barry said, scribbling down the name onto the paper cup. “Nice name,” he commented, glancing up at her with a bright smile. “So that’s one latte with chocolate syrup and a shot of espresso for Ryan.” He placed the cup down, handing it off to the next barista. “Your order will be ready in soon.”
She hesitated for a moment, her mouth open as if she was about to say something to the man. But as soon as her lips parted, its like everything in her head flew out. Your number, give him your number! But it was useless, she stepped to the side and waited for her order, another day another failure
Barry watched as the redhead walked away to a table off to the side of the cafe. He noticed the scrubs she was wearing and the exhaustion in her face. She clearly had a long day and she definitely needed the coffee pick me up. Before he called the next customer he turned to the display of cookies. Picking out a fresh one he placed it in a bag.
“Ryan!” he called out, smiling when he saw the redhead woman lift her head up and glanced in his direction.
She perked up a bit at the call of her name, somewhat caused by him saying her name, but mostly because of the sweet coffee she was about to have. She only had two hours till her first lecture for the day, so she needed the pick me up.
She abandoned her bag at the cafe table, making her way back to the counter where he stood.
Barry smiled as he wrote the name down on the cup, nodding as he jotted down the quick notes for what the drink was and what was needed. “Alright, so a white mocha with some hazelnut syrup Got it. Person A gazes lovingly at B, while B is going on about something they are passionate about. They go on for half an hour until A kisses them.
