Hey guys! I’m excited to let you guys know that I’m opening up my business this Tuesday on Sept. 1st at midnight! And wanted to share to y’all about this business 🤗. • • I'm proud to announce that I’m starting a business! I’ve been thinking about launching my own brand for quite some time and am very excited to let you all know that my new business, Ascent Cosmetics, will be up and running shortly. It’s been a long time coming and although the idea seemed daunting at first, I realized that this business could symbolize more than appearances, it could represent solace and confidence. When developing my brand, I knew I needed to choose a name that personally resonated with me and encompassed my movement. The name Ascent Cosmetics was actually based on my life motto, “Ascend into happiness”, and I’ve used this phrase to guide me through my highs and lows. As most of you may already know, I struggle with depression. Depression has and will always be something that shapes my life and values, but I don’t believe that it’s entirely bad. There’s some good too. With each battle I overcome, I become stronger and grow as a person. And although it may be easier to forget the small wins and focus on the negative side of things, the obstacles we face strengthen our resolve and push us to become better people as we learn to conquer our own demons. My goal for Ascent Cosmetics as a business is to not only make people feel comfortable and confident in themselves, but also to provide an outlet for people to share their own stories and know that they aren’t alone. I want this business to spread awareness about depression, to remind everyone that they are beautiful, and to show that no one is ever alone.
