Rewatching the first two seasons with friends and listening to Neon Lights by Pim Stones got me in some Big Feels about how often these two are just left to pick themselves up (╥﹏╥) This combined with how Stiles is the only one to really stand up for Derek in the beginning was what made me ship them back when i first watched ♡

Go left-to-right, letting the first three shades bloom out while keeping the purple and red pretty sharp - you might need to adjust the overall values depending on the skintones since these were for very pale tones

Derek and Stiles getting together, and Derek being really protective of him around Peter because…he doesn’t really know why. It’s just that Peter has this weird, creepy scheming look, like he’s going to do…something. Derek doesn’t like it. It’s unsettling. So whenever they enter a room and Peter is there, Derek just steers Stiles right back out.

Stiles is like “the hell?” and Derek just shrugs.

“I don’t know. It’s just…when I was ten, he made me eat my pet hamster. He’s got that same energy now, and I don’t want something like that to happen again.”

Stiles gives him the stink eye. “Agai—Derek what the fuck??”

I saw this post about grumpy and sunshine married professors teaching in the same college, and I immediately thought of Sterek.

We have a mythology professor, Stiles, who is a super-geeky, extroverted, funny, and best-friend-to-the-students kinda professor who is an oversharer. And he often talks about his super hot husband, how they met, how they fell in love, got married, and have a son.

Then we have maths professor Hale, who is strict and tough and never utters a word about his personal life, and a mystery to the students.

The only reason the students even found out these two are married is because, one day Mr. Hale had to use his personal laptop for the projector and his homescreen was stiles holding their son.

love the idea that Derek gets on just as much if Stiles’ nerves as Stiles does his [furthering my ‘Derek Hale is a little shit’ agenda]

he’ll purposely talk in circles when explaining something until Stiles throws his hands up and shouts, “forget it! i’ll figure it out myself!”

talk in a decibel only the wolves can hear, driving Stiles crazy.

he’ll tell Stiles something in the most monotone voice, having Stiles think he’s being serious only for Stiles to barge back into the room five minutes later, exasperated, “you were joking, weren’t you?” to which Derek shrugs with a shit-eating smirk.

Stiles cannot watch a movie in peace because Derek is always there to lean over and whisper either inaccuracies in the film or say something that’s completely made up — which Stiles wouldn’t know until he’d google it later.

Derek probably even purposely eggs on petty/minor fights just to see the way Stiles’ lips part and eye twitch at the same time.

With all the excitement around Heated Rivalry (which I will never apologize for), I completely forgot to post this cute Sterek sketch I did last year. Ah, Sterek, one of the last strongholds of queerbaiting--they'll live on in fandom, but think of what this could have been. *_*

Regardless, the potential will always be there, and for me it works, so :P
