Sterek Week // Sunday: So You Think You Can Dance AU

Stiles Stilinski has been dancing Hip Hop for almost 10 years with no formal training. It’s his passion, something that’s kept him grounded through the death of his mother and helped curb his ADHD. His dream is to win season 7 of So You Think You Can Dance, but he doesn’t really have the confidence that he’ll make it. Much to his surprise, he’s accepted as one of the Top 10 finalists for a special season in which the contestants are paired up with All Stars from previous seasons.

Week after week, Stiles is paired up with female All Stars to perform dances he’s never tried, some he’s never even heard of. But, he continues to impress the judges, and America with his natural talent and ability to pick up the new dances with ease. 

Derek Hale is a contemporary dancer, an All Star returning from season 4. He’s quiet and strict, focused on the craft of his dancing. He’s seen Stiles around the set and he can’t quit figure out how this kid with no training is continually leaving everyone in aw. He’s an enigma and Derek is glad they haven’t been paired up yet.

When Stiles makes it to the Top 2, he can’t really believe it. And then he finds out he gets to work with Derek Hale, someone he’s been looking up to for years. But Derek isn’t as excited as Stiles is and he voices his opinions on the matter.

Not to be deterred by anything, especially not the grumpy, gorgeous, completely talented Derek Hale, Stiles works his ass off for a week straight, training harder then he ever has before, which means spending a considerable amount of time with the aforementioned dancer. But what Stiles doesn’t realize is that Derek takes notice of everything he does, how dedicated he is to the dances, how hard he works, how natural the movements come to him, how graceful he looks when he’s lost in the dancing.

When it comes time for the finale show, Stiles and Derek have come to know and respect each other, as fellow dancers and friends. They nail their Broadway and Contemporary dances with ease. And Stiles’ solo performance earns him a standing ovation.

Unsurprisingly, Stiles managed to win the hearts of the judges and America over the last 10 weeks. And his dancing during the finale earns him the title of “Season 7, So You Think You Can Dance Winner.” 

And if he managed to win over the heart of a certain contemporary dancer, well, Derek’ll save that surprise for another day.

Sterek Week: Day 7 (Anything) - Manips + AU

The King and The Whore Stiles didn’t understand the purpose for receiving a royal summons. He was no more than a common tramp; a slave whore who belonged to Lord Jordan Parrish and served at his prominent brothel in Beacon Hills, capital city of the kingdom ruled by Derek Hale. Derek was a vivacious, young monarch with a tenacity for conquest and glory, but also a fair and just leader that the people of his kingdom had not known in recent years after Peter, Derek’s uncle and rightly nicknamed the Tyrant King among both friend and foe, had dominated the lands mercilessly and executed many of his own court upon paranoid accounts of treason. Peter met his timely fate at the end of an assassin’s sharp daggar, and although it was never discovered who hired the king slayer, many whispers contributed his death to the lords of Beacon Hills rather than foreign rivals…..

for the final day of Sterek Week i decided to write a little ficlet based on my own graphic (‘cause i’m narcissistic).

For all that Stiles can talk when it comes to saying something that matters words seem to fail him. When he has to look someone in the eyes and tell them something important he stutters and trips over words, can’t find the right ones and feels a bit like an idiot. It’s not necessarily easier to write what he wants to say down but at least that way he’s not stumbling over words and making an ass out of himself. So he writes what he wants to say down. There’s not many words, it’s not some sprawling, eloquent, epic of a confessions. It’s just a few sentences but they mean a lot and he hopes that comes through. He drives across town, talking himself out of it and back into it no less than ten times in the times it takes to reach Derek’s loft. Derek’s car in there and Stiles kind of wishes it wasn’t, then it would be easier to drop the note and run. He has to talk himself back into going through with it. Stiles runs up the stairs to the loft and stuffs the note under the door as quickly as he can before turning on his heel and running back down the stairs. he hears the door open before he’s even reached the sixth step and his name by the time he hit’s the ninth but he doesn’t stop or turn back. Derek will read the note but Stiles can’t be there when he does. They’ll talk about it later, after Stiles tells himself a thousand more times that it’ll be fine if Derek says no. He’s really hoping for a yes though and knows it won’t really be fine if it’s a no. —- Derek just catches a glimpse of Stiles’ back when he opens the door. Derek calls out to him but Stiles doesn’t turn back or stop and Derek’s more than a little confused. Derek looks down at the folded piece of paper Stiles had slid under the door and bends down to pick it up. He unfolds it and reads what’s written on it. we might not have met under the best circumstances and it might not of been love, or even like, at first sight but i’d like to think we formed a bond (i mean i did save your life a few times). that i became someone you could, and wanted to, trust. someone who could be there for you. and while we’ve been through some things i wish had never happened i know you don’t hold it against me, but still i’m sorry. but i hope that inspite of, or maybe because of, everything when you look at me you see someone that you could love. Derek re-reads it several times, not quite believing what he’s read. Derek looks at the hand holding the note and then at the one hanging by his side. Five fingers on both. Derek still isn’t sure this isn’t a dream. Stiles loves him. Derek doesn’t even shut the door before he runs down the steps. —- Stiles hasn’t even been home for ten minutes, his heart rate has barely slowed, when there’s someone pounding on the front door. Stiles knows its Derek, though he wasn’t expecting him this soon. Stiles takes a deep breath, trying to brace himself for the worst, and opens the door. Derek’s standing there with Stiles’ note still clutched in his hand. “I do,” Derek says quickly. “You do what?” Stiles asks, wanting clarification. He does know what Derek is talking about but he still needs to know for certain. “I do love you,” Derek replies “I don’t look at you and see someone I could love because I already do.” They just stare at each other after Derek finishes speaking. Stiles doesn’t know what to say, he knows he should say something but he’s looking right at Derek and this is important and he can’t find the right words in his brain. So instead of saying anything Stiles just surges forward and kind of smashes his lips against Derek’s. Derek is still for a few seconds but soon enough he responds and it actually becomes a kiss. Derek’s hands frame Stiles’ face and Stiles moves his own hands and pushes his fingers into Derek’s hair. When they pull apart Stiles is smiling and so is Derek, which only makes Stiles smile wider. Derek looks so goddamn happy and, to be cliché, his smile is blindingly brilliant. “I love you,” Stiles says finally and it feels really good to say that out loud and know it’s reciprocated. “I love you too,” Derek says and Stiles decides hearing Derek say it feels even better.

“Busy night?” Derek inquires, assuming he won’t have to raise his voice too much for her to hear him. Her eyes sparkle back at him, the man still pressing at her back momentarily forgotten.

“How did you know!? You always know. I thought this one was so good, too. Not my style at all. Is it the body paint? The top? I knew I should have gone with something more conservative.” Derek hadn’t been entirely sure, actually, but the heavy spew of words confirms his original suspicions. He looks over the girls small, tight body, a neon pink band the only thing covering her chest and high waisted white shorts barely covering her ass and agrees Stiles should have maybe been a little more conservative, if not so obvious.

There’s a lot of screaming going on inside the first house Stiles visits. He isn’t really worried, because it sounds like kids, but then the door opens and hi, says his dick, because the dude in front of him is gorgeous, built like a god with a face like thunder. Stiles wants to lick that solid jaw line. Hold the fuck on, says his cop brain, because the dude’s got kids hanging all over him; one’s on his back, skinny legs looped around his waist, and another two hanging off one arm, toes barely brushing the ground. There’s a tubby toddler clinging to his leg like a koala, and he’s got a baby tucked into the crook of the one arm that doesn’t have kids hanging off it. Stiles’ mouth drops open.

"How many of those kids did you kidnap?" he asks before he can wrangle his brain into submission.

The man gives him a look that says what the fuck is wrong with you and snaps, “You think I’d subject myself to this on purpose?”

"Oooh," says one of the kids hanging off his arm. "I’m telling Mom."

These are SUPER rushed! I apologise for the complete lack of backgrounds, but I just really wanted to get them done before the end of the week and this was my last chance to do them :P

This has probably been done before, probably many times, but I love both the Steve/Bucky ship and Sterek so I wanted to give it a go :)

I also acknowledge that Stiles/Scott would probably be a better fit but SHHH STEREK! Scott can be Hawkeye…
