The prompt meme is open to all Sterek fans! Maybe you're a writer with some fic ideas that you're not going to use, or you'd like to see somebody else's take on. Maybe you don't write, but you have some ideas that you've been dying to read. The Prompt Meme is open for everyone to come and submit whatever Sterek prompts they want to see written!

This is an ongoing event with no deadlines, and there's no obligation to write anything if you submit a prompt (or two, or twenty!) The idea is to share your ideas with the hope that writers will see them and be inspired enough to write them.

Derek is born more in tune with his wolf side and has always been slightly more feral than the other werewolves in his pack. In this fic I kinda want to explore how that basically makes him more in tune with his surroundings and nature in general. You can choose anything you want. I just want to see the fact that Derek can't grasp any kind of social rules that go beyond small-talk. Also, because I am obsessed by this, I kinda want to see (This is again your decision) werewolves starting not to, you know… not act human-like. Maybe they could give off an uncanny valley like vibe. And Stiles being the only one okay with this. Like his dad's first instinct is to draw his gun when his underage son brings home an ex suspected murderer (Derek is aware of laws and things like that, but, because once again, he is NOT human, doesn't really understand them) and not just because of the whole murder thing, no, no, no. It's because of how he moves and walks. It also gives everyone else a fear factor outside of the whole serial killer thing going around in town. And also because Stiles starts copying behaviour from the were's. Bonus points if everyone is a hater because, well, this is a small town. A hater but not a snitch.

Let's have another prompt roundup!

It's been a while since our last prompt roundup, so it's about time we had a look at the new prompts that have been coming in since then!

For those of you who like to keep things based around canon, we've got a prompt for De-aged Derek, we've got FBI agent!Stiles in the TW Movie era, and we've got a Canon-Divergence starting a year before the show.

If you're all about the AUs we have a Fake Boyfriend AU, and a Cowboy!Derek AU.

And if you like to keep your options open as to whether it's Canon or AU, these ones can be done either way! We've got Stiles as a sex toy tester/reviewer, Stiles getting drunk at Jungle and waking up in Derek's bed, Derek as the one left with scars after the fire rather than Peter, and Derek not knowing the meaning of the eggplant emoji.

Some of these have already been claimed, but our stance here is very much "The more the merrier", and we're all for multiple claims! Stiles is…something. Mad isn’t strong enough. Pissed doesn’t go quite far enough, either. Enraged, maybe. Yeah, that works. Stiles is enraged. There’s still some panic floating around and Stiles absolutely wants to curse Deaton’s everything, but he’s made it through to the point where he can plan it. Really do it right.

Hark! A new event approaches!

Starting in February of 2024, the Sterek Collaborative Big Bang will run for a little under 5 months, with posting in July 2024. Please feel free to check out our blog, read up some of what we have to share, and give this post a reblog to get the word out. (:

HOW THIS WORKS:

The Sterek Collaborative Big Bang (Or CollaBang for short) is a Big Bang event focusing on two major elements:

1.) Stiles Stilinski x Derek Hale from MTV’s Teen Wolf 2.) Collaboration between artists of multiple mediums, Writing and Something Else, for the entire duration of the event.

A traditional Big Bang is a fandom event where fic writers write a story within certain criteria during a period of time and then propose their ideas to the artist participants who pick a story and create an art piece to go with it. The specific criteria can vary significantly, such as “Any Fandom Goes but it has to be an existing work in progress (@WIPBigBang)”, but generally when it’s labeled as “Big” the expectation is for a longer fic. This Big Bang has a word count minimum of 10,000.

What sets us apart is that we are taking the concept of “collaboration” between writers and artists to the next level. Instead of having writers toil away on their own, only sharing with other writers, we are asking participants to connect right at the start of the event so they have a partner to work on their project with them, start to finish.

I'm just popping in with a little update to the rules. This isn't something I'd foreseen being an issue when I started the prompt meme, but as it's something I've seen becoming more prevalent around fandom recently, I wanted to clarify for anyone wondering.

AI submissions will not be accepted for the prompt meme. The main point of this event is to inspire creativity and share ideas, and the use of AI to create fics/art is antithetical to that.

Scott shakes his head as he stares towards Stiles. He doesn’t recognise the person in front of him anymore, doesn’t understand why he would lie so much and so hard. Donovan wasn’t the monster that Stiles was trying to make him out to be. He had listened to Theo’s accounts of what happened, had seen the scene for himself before sending Theo off home and it sounded and looked like it made so much more sense…after all, why would Donovan want to go after Stiles of all people.

He was nothing, a nobody.

Turning, Scott left Stiles standing there in the rain, the fat drops sliding down over his skin as he walked away, ignoring the shouts and begs that came from the teenager behind him.

It was Stiles’ fault.

Everything that had happened over the past few years, now that Scott thought about it, it all led back to Stiles. Every bad thing that has happened to him, every time he has gotten in to trouble, Stiles was right there by his side, guiding him through the motions which led to each downfall and scolding.

Afterall, it was Stiles’ fault that he had been bitten by Peter Hale in the first place. He had been the one to drag him out in to those woods that night, he had been the one who dragged him through the darkness and the trees until they came across Laura’s body. It was Stiles’ fault that Allison and so many others were dead now, cut down in their prime, stopped before they could live their lives to the fullest. He and Allison could’ve found so much happiness together, could’ve gone on to grow old together and have kids one day maybe.

It was all Stiles’ fault.

And now there has been another death, another unnecessary death at the hands of the person he had once called his brother. And Scott couldn’t deal with it anymore, he couldn’t deal with the human that had brought so much pain and misery to his life. As he moved through the street and back to his bike, his mind was full of things he could change before they landed on the one thing that he had remembered Deaton mentioning in passing. A way to go back and change things in the past. Deaton had mentioned that it was dangerous to cast, that time travel could be a fickle thing to play around with. He hadn’t had any good stories of people who have been known to meddle with the past but Scott didn’t care. He had decided on it by the time he started the engine up.

He would go back in time and stop Stiles.
