Dornier Do X, a historic German flying boat, during its peak in the late 1920s or early 1930s.
Largest Flying Boat: When it first flew in 1929, the Do X was the largest, heaviest, and most powerful flying boat in the world.
Massive Passenger Capacity: It set a record by carrying 169 people (passengers and crew) during a demonstration flight in 1929.
Unique Engine Design: The aircraft was powered by twelve engines arranged in six push-pull pairs mounted on top of the wing.
Historical Significance: It undertook a major exhibition tour from Germany to South America and North America between 1930 and 1932 to demonstrate the potential of international air travel.
