I got an email asking me if I still want to keep my username: I guess now’s a better time than ever to give a little life update.

Well…. Hi. I’m still alive.

Not much has changed. Still lost on an island in the middle of the pacific. Still at the job I had in college. Still tirelessly a hopeless romantic. Still trying to figure life out, one day at a time.

I went to therapy? For years, actually. Learned how to give myself grace. Still in the process of learning how to love myself, properly. Everyday I believe in me just that much more.

I found love in four legged friends and decided that I needed a basketball team of them (5), even when they piss and shit all over the place.

And I still really don’t like watermelon.

You still think about it every day. You think about it less and less every day, but it’s still every day. What about 3 years ago though? What did you think about every day back then, because it wasn’t this, was it? And whatever it was, you probably don’t still think about it every day, do you? You might not even remember what it was that you couldn’t stop thinking about 3 years ago today. But that’s the point. Things that take up our entire life today, things that destroy us and feel like the literal end of the world, will mean nothing one day. One day, we might not even remember them.
