He [Steve] reaches the mouth of the cave and sees Tony still sprawled there, though he’s removed the helmet. His head is at an awkward angle, cranked back over the edge of the gorget with his Adam’s apple sharp against the line of his throat. In the fast-fading light of sunset, Steve can see that he’s terribly pale, his hair plastered down with sweat and the thin skin of his eyes bruised purple with pain and exhaustion.
Carefully, Steve kneels down in front of Tony and speaks. “You with me?”
Tony’s eyes flicker and Steve holds his breath until at last they open and Tony looks up.
“Hey Captain Handsome.”
Steve fights not to suck a breath between his teeth. Tony’s voice is wrecked, a sad wheezing shadow of its usual grandiose self.
“Aw, don’t give me that face. It’s the puppy kicking face.”
The Cap-Ironman community was created on 19 February 2008 as one of the many pairing-specific LJ communities that made up journal-based fandom spaces at the time. It soon grew into an active community, with different passionate community mod teams organising and maintaining an ever-growing variety of events. Today our home bases are Dreamwidth and Tumblr, with a smaller presence on other platforms. A lot of fun, feels and creativity were shared as comics went from losing Steve to the first Civil War story arc, and as new universes were created, giving Steve/Tony fans a range of canons across the vast Marvel multiverse.
Cap-Ironman wants to continue in the spirit of the work and love that all the mods, creators, commenters, reccers and Steve/Tony fans from around the world put in, and give you a fun space for your Steve/Tony needs now and in the future.
It's been a while since we last checked in with the Cap-IM community, and we'd really love to hear what you think about the way things are run, and how we can make the community more enjoyable, successful and inclusive!

Cap-IM Big Bang date claims are coming—it's time for you to decide on a posting date!
Date claims will open on Saturday, October 21, 6:00 PM EDT (what time is this for me? | countdown) and close on October 25 at 6:00 PM EDT. Remember that if no one on your team is available to claim a date, you can ask someone else to proxy-claim for you.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
By claiming a posting date, you are committing to having your work complete and ready for posting by the date you have picked; this counts as your check in for the BB. If your team does not claim a date by October 25, 6:00 PM EDT or email the mods prior to claims, we will assign your team to a posting date.
If no team member is able to submit your date claims on behalf of the team, please use a proxy to submit a claim on your behalf. If you can't find a proxy, please email the mods at [email protected] and we'll help find one.
By submitting a claim, your team is committing to publishing your works on any of the dates chosen. If you believe you won't be able to finish your work by next month, please communicate your concerns with your partner(s) and the mods as soon as possible. You can find all extension information in our Posting Instructions post.

HOW TO CLAIM YOUR DATE
Thirty posting dates are available from November 1 to November 30. Only one team will be posting on any given day so that your Stevetony content is staggered for people to enjoy! Before choosing the posting dates you will list, please make sure it will work for everyone on the team.
You are required to have every team member's BB works posted on your confirmed posting date by noon ET so that you can send the mods the masterpost information on time.
You can stagger posting times so that they suit your timezones — works don't have to be posted at exactly the same time — but all works need to be posted by the deadline. Posting date claims will be run via a Google Form on a first come, first-served basis.
The Date Claims Form is linked here, as is the live claims spreadsheet that will show the claims happening real-time. The form will only open when date claims start, but you can access the link beforehand.
Your posting team is determined by the writer's CODENAME as given to you in the BB matching email.
The person claiming on behalf of a team needs to know their CODENAME and 3-5 posting dates to list in order of preference.
Posting dates will be allocated in the order that forms are received.
Teams that submit forms where all dates listed have already been picked will be asked to resubmit.
Remember, only one person claims on behalf of their team.
