ILZRO Zn75, 1970. A one-off Lamborghini Miura Roadster that was converted by the International Lead Zinc Research Organisation (ILZRO) in 1969 to showcase the use of zinc in automotive applications. Originally a 1968 show car, it was renamed Zn75, after the periodic table symbol for zinc. Elements like body trim, exhaust system components, and even some engine parts were fabricated from Zinc Alloy, making the car significantly heavier. The Zn75 embarked on a global tour to demonstrate the versatility of zinc in the automotive industry. After extensive public exhibition, it was restored to its original 1968 Bertone Roadster specification in 2008.
