Sky Wonders Normally Beyond Human Perception

This long-exposure image features a deep sky around the famous constellation of Orion. Photographer Jeff Dai uses a modifed camera with a skyglow filter to bring out these hidden features.

The three belt stars of the famous constellation of Orion can be seen lined up almost vertically, and the Orion Nebula is to the belt stars’ right. The red-glowing arc surrounding Orion is Barnard’s Loop, an emission nebula. The breathtaking scene was captured above (and kinda below) the Himalayan Mountains.
