I haven’t been following it, but season 9 of DW is coming up.  With only seeing one spoiler of Missy coming back, let’s ponder what will happen…..

Episode 1:  12 and Clara go somewhere and find strange things afoot.  Anvil sized hints dropped that 12 misses because he’s too busy making fun of Clara’s makeup/outfit/nails/whatever.  We come to find that it’s MissyMaster behind whatever evil doings there are..DUN DUN DUN

Episode 2:  MissyMaster concocts a plot to do some evil.  12 and Missy have UST and babble out a bunch of nonsense at each other.  Clara gets to wear a pretty dress because they are in a different time/planet.  Missy runs off to do whatever until she is needed for the season finale.

Episode 3:  ROBOTS! ALIEN ROBOTS!  HISTORICAL ALIEN ROBOTS! 

Episode 4:  Clara gets to do something, like watch a bunch of children while 12 protects the planet from whatever the threat of the week is

Episode 5:  EXPLOSIONS!  BLAM BANG BOOM!!! Ongoing gags about the sonic screwdriver being a phallic symbol.

Episode 6:  EXPLOSIONS PART2!  the one-off companion will flirt with 12 because GHEY IS FUNNIEEEEEEE!!!

Episode 7:  A thinly veiled right winged conservative messaged episode. 

Episode 8:  45 minutes of foreshadowing to the Missy Master finale involving alien robots.

Episode 9: DALEKS….again…

Episode 10:  Jenny and Vastra centered because *Representation*

 Episode 11:  FINALE PART 1!  MissyMaster! Unbeatable odds, 12′s darkest whatever.

Episode 12: FINALE PART 2!  Clara does something, and dies or leaves or never existed.  MissyMaster is defeated and 12 pretends to be sad at the end.

The only problem is that Moffat/Gomez/Capaldi have all been talking about how the Doctor and the Master are really just friends! They’ve always been friends! That includes with Missy!

Which means that Missy won’t be evil next season, at all.

Maybe she’ll betray him in the end, but I doubt it’ll be much more than that.

So like The Master was never a main antagonist in the original run?  Is that what Moffat et al are saying now?  Am I reading that right?  

I mean there was a line with 10 who said they used to be school friends until the Master looked into the void (? sorry I can’t remember what they called it on the show) and lost his shit.

Basically, yeah.

They were talking about it a fair bit at the Doctor Who panel at Comic Con, and a few other interviews at Comic Con.

They’ve assured us that it’s not going to be romantic/flirtatious, though, so there is that. Moffat noted that the only time the Master and Doctor flirted was with Ten & Simm!Master (but then they all laughed at that…for some reason…).

1.  No, they aren’t.  A majority of them that I’ve found are older, early 20′s and older (some much older).  And the more vile they are, the older they seem to be.  SPN has been running for 11 years, someone may have been 12 when it started, but now they are 23.  NuWho has been running for 8-9 years, a 12 year old then is now 20-21.  BBC-Sherlock doesn’t really appeal to most 12 year olds, their main fanbase are in their 20′s and older.

2.  The 12 year old girls that are SWL’s are actually really easy to spot.  If you check out an SWL blog that also has Tweeny Pop Group posts or find an extreme level of hyperbole, chances are pretty good it’s a tweenager.  

3.  Since a 12 year old’s brain is not fully formed, they are prone to saying stupid, uneducated shit, because that’s what 12 year olds do.  However, they are not beyond reason.  It is possible to point out to them that what they are saying is wrong and why.  In fact it’s important to point these things out to them, because the sooner you can educate a young person, the better adults they become.  

4.  If you really do believe that most SWLer’s are 12 year old girls, what does that say? I know it’s supposed to be some kind of defensive statement of “oh you big ole meany yelling at a little girl.”  However, since the majority of the base are not children, I think that says more about how they carry themselves and how they behave.  If a grown adult is going to talk, act and give off an impression that they are a child, so much so that the “12 year old girl” becomes the prevailing assumption of the fanbase, that seems really off.  

So in short, if it’s a 12 year old, use a little bit of tact when calling them out.  But  SWL’er are long past the age of being considered “too young to know better”

My predictions for spn season 11

Episode 1:  20 second clean up of last season’s cliffhanger.  meaningful glances.   

Episode 2:  Monster of the week recycled from season 5.  meaningful glances.

Episode 3:  Some vague start to season long arc.  Meaningful glances with a side character making a “are you gay” type joke.

Episode 4: (from the spoiler I read) the perspective of the car, who will either sound like an angry black woman (tm) or a love sick teenage girl.  Either way the car will make a “are they gay” joke and the fanbase will think it’s super awesome and great.

Episode 5:  Continuation of season long arc, probably something to do with Crowley (poor Mark Sheppard). meaningful glances.

Episode 6: Cas does something unusual.  meaningful glances.

Episode 7:  The female one-off character dies.  Meaningful glances

Episode 8:  Turmoil between the main characters related to season long arc. Meaningful Glances. Meant to have the fanbase have *FEELINGS* over whatever character they like the most.

Episode 9:  Charlie the lesbian ghost comes around, you know need to get in that Representation. Meaningful glances

Episode 10:  Recycled story from season 7...how many episodes are left? 15? aaaaarrggghhhh Meaningful glances.

Episode 11:  Season long arc mini-cliffhanger before the winter break.  Meaningful glances.

Episode 12:  continuation of arc. Meaningful glances.  Side character makes gay reference to the main characters.

Episode 13:  META EPISODE. Extra special meaningful glances  Gross mockery made of fanbase, and fanbase again doesn’t get that  show is laughing at them, not with them

Episode 14:  Recycled plot from season 3.  Meaningful glances.

Episode 15:  fuck how many more episodes are left?  10?  oh for fucks sake.
