The deeply worrying thing about catcalling is that the catcaller must know that their target isnât going to turn around and fall in to their arms pleading âoh dear my please have sex with me here and nowâ. A lot of the time they know that. Often they donât do it for that, someone who shouts ânice titsâ from a van isnât trying to date you. Theyâre trying to humiliate you, reinforce their dominance over you; itâs an exercise of male power. Itâs a way of communicating âI can say and do whatever I want to you, no matter how inappropriate or how uncomfortable it makes you feel, and you canât do anything about it.â Catcalling is not a compliment, itâs a threat.
If you think we need more asexual, pansexual, and bisexual characters in books today clap your hands

Stain
You look at me with boredom With pity and with scorn Like your heart is not a trophy I can win But I can try and I can fail I can cry and I can wait For you To finally destroy me from within
But thatâs not how it goes I donât give in until I cave in I was fine until you took me in your hands And you crushed me like a bug Paralyzed me like a drug My head hurts and Iâm craving you again
You left a stain in my mind And it canât be erased What a waste, what a waste Of a strong will You make me so weak Itâs disgusting How much I want you stillÂ
Youâre killing me with kindness With sarcasm and wit Like the way I feel is something you donât know But when you dropped me from your embrace I fell hard, on my face And it hurt To finally decide to let you goÂ
But thatâs not what I did I couldnât give you up, not really I was fine as long as we still had a chance They say that ignorance is bliss They say âI love youâ is a promise But you couldnât stick to my plans
You left a stain in my mind And it canât be erased What a waste, what a waste Of a good brain You make me so sick Itâs pathetic How you drive me insane
You left a stain in my mind And it canât be erased What a waste, what a waste Of a whole year God, I miss you so much Itâs torturous To watch you disappear

Ron Weasleyâs character is consciously written as somewhat racist. Not as racist as Malfoy, of course - he doesnât scoff at mudbloods and halfbloods, and he doesnât see himself as superior at all. Still, he unquestionably accepts the inferior position of house elves (they love serving), when he finds out that Lupinâs werewolf his reaction is not only scared but also disgusted (Donât touch me!) and he is clearly very uncomfortable finding out that Hagrid is half-giant (giants are wild and savage). And this is brilliant. Because it demonstrates that racism isnât only present in clearly malicious and evil people, in the Malfoys and Blacks - itâs also there in warm, kind, funny people who just happened to learn some pretty toxic things growing up in a pretty toxic society. And they can unlearn them too, with some time and effort. Ron eventually accepts Hagridâs parentage, lets Lupin bandage his leg and in the final battle, he worries about the safety of the house elves. Some people are prejudiced because they are evil, and some people are prejudiced because they donât know better yet. And those people can learn better, and become better people. And thatâs an important lesson. The lesson taught about discrimination shouldnât be âonly evil people do itâ, because then all readers will assume it doesnât apply to them. Instead old JK teaches us âyou too are probably doing it, and you should do stop ASAPâ.
damned if i do.: Ron is racist - and thatâs great (via cutechesters)
smooth stilinski pickup lines: part 132/?

Basically
HOW MUCH DOES UR SIGN GIVE A FUCK
pretends not to give a fuck but are actually cringing deep down inside about that awkward thing they did years ago: taurus, virgo
has no chill whatsoever and does not give a fuck: gemini, leo, libra, aquarius, aries
nicely gives a fuck out of consideration so they donât hurt ur feelings: cancer, pisces
just wants 2 fuck: scorpio, sagittarus, capricorn
honestly people wearing shirts with asian characters they donât understand the meaning of âfor the aesthetic of itâ is something i canât really get mad at anymore bc they do the exact same with english.
