listen, POC!jarlene is making its way into every fic like. Some of my earlier fics would have things that probably refer to something different, like I’m sure blonde Marls pops up, but anything from the year and a half at least is probably intended to be poc!jarlene <3 and i have a fic in the works that actually examines them as two poc in their world and maps their lives and how it affects them and it is explicitly POC!jarlene so nobody is allowed to visualise them as white in that ‘verse (I mean, I can’t stop their visualising, but seeing as it’ll be pretty clear because it will be explicitly stated and discussed, it would be gross if they did).

when i started LLTRATB, i wanted to go through each year in detail, which is probably why it’s taken me so long, because i had scenes visualised for their future years and really just wanted to get to there ahaha, but i have a bit more patience now, i think. so in-depth is the plan! i don’t know what that looks like, as to chapter length or how many chapters it would be per year, but it was very much the aim. it is a bit daunting ahaha but that was the initial aim, at least, and i want to give it a go! get to explore these kids at every corner, you know?

harry is, yes! he’s actually head of the auror department, which is pretty hella for a boy who thought he’d have to ditch the dream because he didn’t get an O in potions (or, y’know, was meant to die).

and i am! i have a next chapter half written but i’m thinking about scrapping what i’ve gotten and starting afresh, because i wrote that half chapter years ago and i think my writing voice has changed quite a bit. which i think fits the prologue i did, because the prologue was very much an open, loose kinda thing that i like, so i reckon scrapping this draft update is for the best and starting with renewed energy and a more developed idea of the characters! but thank you so much <333 i’m so glad you like it!!

also, i got your other ask and i have a lot of thoughts on it but i’m mobile right now so i wanted to wait until i could properly answer you on the laptop, i hope that’s okay! i just wanted to let you know i’m not ignoring it ahaha, just wanting to give it the time it deserves xo bc you’re right, poc!jarlene is my JAM and i have something in the works about that!!
