Fun Fact: my AU is called FP11 because the timeline extends eleven years past the date the canonical timeline ends. Here, everyone dies (maybe) around 2050. I needed the extra time for worldbuilding.

When moving between bases, children are dressed in stealth attire, while selected adults (ie: Mikey in neon pink) wear bright colors.

It's the responsibility of those in vibrant colors to distract enemies from everyone else.

(I'm really surprised I didn't do something with this earlier...I mentioned unforms once, but that was more like an overview when I was still figuring out my AU.)

Years ago, the Resistance had a dedicated stealth team (an offshoot of OFFENCE that did stuff for basically everyone) led by Cassandra and, occasionally, Mikey or Donnie depending on the mission.

Stealth missions were conducted on foot, with members utilizing teachings from both the Hamato and Foot Clan—that detail wasn't communicated—helping soldiers operate without detection.

As the Resistance grew larger, the 'stealth team' disbanded and a general "stealth uniform" was put in place when moving around outside.

Camouflaging (but not really)

Depending on a mission's objective, rebels may wear half or fully white uniforms to blend in with the snow.

Additionally, soldiers paint their faces white and wear dark eye makeup. This somewhat protects their eyes from the sun's harsh glare against the snow.

For ease of movement during combat, flowy to semi-fitted clothes are the standard. Oversized coats, cloaks, and similar garments let soldiers to conceal weapons.

The soldier on the left is "combat oriented", and are found in vanguards. While parts of their uniform allow for camouflage, they aren't meant to be hidden.

To the right, "stealth oriented" soldiers uphold the original purpose of Cassandra's stealth teams. Quiet, agile, and unburdened by heavy weaponry, these soldiers are utilized for reconnaissance. Stealth oriented soldiers carry chemical and mystic/magic weapons and only fight when absolutely necessary.

I finally figured out how to draw Leo. Congratulate me.

My inspiration behind the "stealth team/uniform" was goth makeup.

Combat pilots wear stealth attire just in case they have to abandon their mech, allowing them to escape (most of the time).

Other Versions

That big ole thing Leo has is a war fan. When fighting, she'll double it via Ninpō. Same as her swords, the war fans can be summoned and used for teleportation. She can (because I said so) control the direction her fans go after they're thrown.

To add my own spin onto her, I decided that Leo's manipulation of swords/blades developed into metallokinesis—the ability to manipulate and control metal. I've read a few fics in which Leo transformed a scalpel of butter knife into a sword, so I figured it'd be cool to let her do more things with it.

Antonia is ~7 years old here.

She doesn't get to go outside like Casey had some years earlier. After Raph and Cassandra's deaths, life among the Hamatos wasn't as…relaxed as it used to be.

As their loved ones died off, Leo only became more strict about what either Antonia or Casey were doing and where they went—not that they had a lot of options to begin with.

i was going to make a post about how much it sucks that people act like f!leo is so old when he's like 40, which is not old like. at All, but then i thought about it and like... that's probably pretty old when it comes to the standards of the apocalypse, no? like the life expectancy was probably horrible there

people talk a lot about f!leo losing his brothers and i do think that has a lot of legs but im also realizing there is so much angst potential with his relationships with the wider resistance. people he feels indebted to and doesn't know that well, who see him as a figurehead-- and people that he failed. refugees had their families decimated by the kraang. the old and the sick who dont hang on to see a better world. newly orphaned, scared, traumatized children who dont make it anyway. people who do essential work at the base who lost their families and partners miles away shouting him down in a fit of heartbreak and rage because they have to blame it on someone, and he's the easiest person to blame. soldiers that fought valiantly succumbing to sepsis despite every attempt possible to heal them. people that died for leo because they looked up to him, even when he was so young at the beginning. how many death missions do you think he ended up sending, thinking he'd secured victory? how often did he clutch that photo of his family close and beg and plead raph to come back, because he cant do this alone, everyone's depending on him and he's lost so much, he was so irresponsible and stupid and raph was right,
