"You’re not from ‘round ‘ere, are you kid?" It wasn’t really a question, as the answer was almost crystal clear. As the hunter stared down at the rather shaky looking youth as she huddled up behind the rather poor protection of a battered crate. 

It was no surprised that the kid looked at least a tad shaken - after all, she had just appeared right in the middle of a stand off between Dylan’s group of hunters and that group from the dam.  And ‘appeared’ really was the right word. The other had quite literally apparated into the fight, leaving all of the surrounding survivors looking shocked to say the least. 

Lucky for her, the kid had had enough sense to move to the meek place she’d called cover. Dylan recalled thinking that the girl had been exceptionally fast, almost appearing as if she had vanished from her previous spot and moved within a split second. 

The fight had quickly dissipated after that, leaving the female hunter to attempt to find the arrival. 

"Well, kiddo, it’s been twenty god damned years for most of us, everyone’s pretty used to it by now, right?"

“No. Just slightly maybe very pissed off.” Okay that was an exaggeration, but there was a not-so-subtle glare towards the older female to prove her point. She was the alpha here. She would not back down.

Maybe.

A raised eyebrow- that was fast. And perhaps stupid of her. They’d just met, and she’s inviting her back to their stronghold- a fort in this first person shoot-em-up zombiefest. Wasn’t that a little too trusting of her?

Or perhaps suspicious. But if she tried anything Shado’d tear her a new one without hesitation.

“...Try anything and I’ll snap your neck,” she mumbled, standing up. But at least she wasn’t complaining.

Dylan simply disregarded the glare, beginning to walk off. “Come on then.” 

She expected there to be a small amount of distrust hidden in the kid, after all, she had just met Dylan, and it wasn’t as if they were the safest of people to stay with. But the hunter hadn’t been lying when she said she’d feel guilty about leaving the other for the infected to devour, or to be found and shot by rival clan.

Sure the kid was acting right-royally pissed off, but it didn’t make her any more experienced in this world. 

A thin smirk spread across Dylan’s lips at the threat, “Sure you will.” She motioned back to the remaining members of her group who had finally seemed to notice the stranger, and all seemed only a tad suspicious... that is if by ‘a tad’ you mean the group had their guns all partially raised at Shado’s back.

“Dyl,” a voice belonging to a fellow hunter broke through her thoughts, “Who the hell’s this tourist?”

Dani shook the other woman’s hand, hardly even breaking eye contact as she did so. If the other was going to attack her for those supplies, in the midst of getting friendly would be when she’d do it, Dani suspected; it would be when Dani’s guard was at her lowest. Still, it seemed to go over without a hitch. "Right, well, still. I’d best be on my way now; hate to cause more problems where I don’t have to. Good luck out there, a’ight? I’m… around. Passing through. So if you need an extra hand I’ll probably be in the area a few more days at the least.”

Perhaps this woman wasn’t going to be as much as a problem as Dylan had first anticipated. ‘Allies’ were definitely hard to come by in this area, and despite already having a clan to help her along, it couldn’t hurt to gain a couple could it? 

She gave a slight nod to Dani’s plan of action, a small, crooked smile forming on her face, “Good luck to you too, and thanks for the offer.” With another nod and a turn on her heal, Dylan began to set off back to her camp before pausing with a quiet sigh. 

“Jus’ don’t go getting yourself killed too easy. If you..uh, ever run into anyone from my group, jus’...just tell ‘em you know me. You probably won’t get your block knocked off.” A faintly amused smirk crossed the hunter’s lips as she raised her hand slightly in a sign of farewell before jogging off into the undergrowth.
