I truly wonder how Chloe’s arc ends in s10 like are they gonna put her in prison alongside Noe and Audrey cus that would just be well horrid
Would anyone hmo when I say Chloe’s arc has the most potential it had in years
If Chloe ever changes i want her to get a redesign with:
Other colours outside of yellow/gold, black and white. Since those are the ‘bourgeois’ colours (with Audrey and Noe also only wearing those colours) I’d love for her to experiment with other colours when trying to change/ seperate herself from Audrey and Noe
No bee patterns. I think it’d be good for Chloe to move on from Queen bee instead of clinging on to the past
A different hairstyle, so like her hair down or maybe even cutting it/letting it grow longer
I think it’d be cool to see stuff like this in a Chloe redesign for if she ever changes
people don’t hate Chloe’s arc because she didn’t get redeemed but because the show ignores all her depth post s3 and writes her and everything regarding her horribly
a child devoid of love and lashing out as a result.
u bring back the one person she looks up to more than anyone and has her ignored unless she does terrible things.
then u excise her from the environment that she had actually changed for the better in and leave her with said person.
that person then takes painstaking lengths to make sure she’s only surrounded with ppl who refuse to interact with her as an actual person and will do nothing to stand up for her rights as a person.
they make her popular online so the only “love” she gets is fake.
they make sure she’s praised for every increasingly shitty thing she does.
then they bring her back to her original town, full of the people she hurt, so she can see how everyone has moved on from the harm she caused.
how she’s the only one still hung up on her glory days.
when she lashes out again, the lowest person in her eyes fucking laughs at her and walks away, unharmed.
then she’s brought back to that same isolation chamber.
and i’m supposed to look at this and think “good riddance”.
I want Chloe to hit rock bottom and be absolutely miserable before we see any typa development for her man
Hopes for Chloe in s7-onwards
since qotd released a few weeks ago and I’ve had time to think about it and discuss it with others. I think qotd could be an amazing set up for Chloe’s character in the upcoming seasons because of the things we see in this episode, the things shown to us are:
Noe and Audrey are using her for their own gain something she doesn’t know
shes basically fully isolated now with no one but the people Noe and Audrey hire, Noe and Audrey themselves and her fans
her reaction to losing control and how that makes her spiral (when Zoe Marinette and Sabrina were walking away)
that she’s one of the the most famous people on earth with around 413 mil followers
I feel like it’s obvious at some point Chloe is gonna hit rock bottom and realise Audrey and Noe were using her (wether she finds out or they tell her and drop her) and that she was nothing but a pawn to them. Knowing how she reacted realising she has no control over Marinette, Sabrina and Zoe anymore imagine how she’d react now, with realising she’s been nothing but a pawn instead of the ‘queen’ she sees herself as. I feel like only after hitting rock bottom and being faced by this reality that she has no one and is just a puppet, she can change and hopefully get into a better environment and get some THERAPY PLEASE
I’d love for Chloe and Zoe to tell Audrey off together at some point and acc bond as sisters and I also think that this can also deliver another important message to kids if Chloe chooses to apologise to the people she’s hurt
The message being that you don’t owe someone forgiveness just cause they’re trying to do better. Chloe is one of the villains that has had the biggest personal impact on most of the main cast with bullying them. I think a really powerful message to kids would be that you don’t need to necessarily forgive someone just cus they’re apologising and I would love to see some miraculers accept her apology but choose not to forgive her and it’d be interesting to see who would give her a chance and who wouldn’t.
I feel like if the show goes the route of ‘haha Chloe evil and dumb Chloe deserves this” and choose to ignore she’s being groomed now would be horrible messaging since it forces this narrative of a victim of abuse having to react a certain way to be considered one. Some kids lash out more when dealing with stuff like neglect (like Chloe) while some don’t ( like Adrien for example) and that is imo a horrible messaging to kids and something I hope this show doesn’t follow for future seasons. Denying or justifying grooming should never happen even if the person on the receiving hand is as horrible as Chloe and that’s why I hope they acc do something good with this storyline since qotd does set Chloe up to be able to have a really interesting storyline (the most interesting for her since like s3)
heres the thing Chloe’s arc will never be what it might’ve been in s2-3 and stuff like queen bee have long ended but s6 sets her up for a different arc which if wel executed could be one of the best in the series imo
Also I’m ignoring Thomas saying stuff like ‘she’ll never be redeemed’ since he’s known for telling lies or stuff that later on aren’t true anymore (for example he said Felix would never play a big role a few years ago) and if you want to bring Thomas’s tweets into this even he has said Chloe can change if given the reason, I can see rock bottom totally being that reason.
i'll type a caption later it's like 3am
This is genuinely exactly how I imagine Ray and Chloe’s dynamic would be
oh Chloe when you inevitably hit rock bottom you’re gonna have nothing and nobody to pick you up since you burned down every bridge…
A different sort of Living Weapon
Thanks in part to OSP doing a video on the more traditional sort of Living Weapon tope, and in part to my own brain making sidelong connections as a matter of standard operations I've come to the following thought:
Chloé as of season six is in fact- a Living Weapon.
Not in the anime ninja flip out and kill everyone sense. She is a Media weapon, but she is one nonetheless. Queen of the Dreadzone made it clear. She was being used by Noé specifically because she was effective. The person under it all was meaningless. She 'makes evil okay' in a way others apparently cannot. There's no way he'd bother with an untrained 15yr old when he has access to any number of skilled influencers in the making unless she really was talented beyond reason at this one specific thing.
She is a weapon. She inflicts harm, and she is clearly not cognizant of the harm she is inflicting. She just does as is her purpose, and receives care and adulation for it. Much like a favored blade might be carefully polished and cleaned.
It's a curious sort of role to put her in. I highly doubt that canon intended that to be the narrative, but I've given up on worrying about what canon intends anymore. I only worry about what canon shows.
praying future seasons do something interesting and WELL WRITTEN with this
it’s so funny cus the more this show tries to bash Chloe the more interesting she becomes to me, I’m genuinely so interested in her character atm something I’m sure Astruc didn’t want because like she’s basically the new Adrien (in terms of fame and stuff) and being used/groomed by Audrey and Noe. If the show acc starts to do something interesting with her character again there’s deff potential imo but THOMAS exists.
I wanna see noe and audrey have a duo akumitisation next season or in season 8 (dearest family style) and for them to be searching for chloe and her to be FCKING TERRIFIED. Like let it parallel to how she made people feel in qotd and let zoe also play a role in this episode and let them bond please id love that
theory (aka my own wishful thinking)
so remember in Queen Banana how Zoé has the “i’ll always love you even if the world hates you” thing
so Grendiaper and Queen of the Dreadzone didn’t really showcase that haha
but hear me out:
I want them to like crash out at each other first until they realise they should team up against Noe/audrey
Im so excited for the off screen Chloe redemption where she comes back in s9, apologises and gets forgiven off screen between s9 and 10 and is best friends with everyone in s10
Rip Zoe Chloe sisterhood we never truly got to see you
Im honestly pretty curious about what will happen to Chloe when Noe and Audrey (and the kingdom) eventually get taken down, like she’ll lose everything
Okay, Okay Roll With Me When I Explain This... The Noe Adopts Chloe and Zoe AU
Basic gist, Noe learns he has baby sisters when he's a teen which is surprising. What surprises him more is hearing how his mother talks about them. He knows she's not exactly nice but has always treated him well, but then he hears her call them "Utterly unexceptional" and all sorts of insults like that and alarm bells go off in his mind and he realizes that how she treats him isn't because she loves him, it's just because he does what she wants. And he realizes he very much could be treated the same way. To say the least doesn't like that and starts to resent it as he grows up.
He learns about his sisters behind his mother's back and learns essentially how they're being treated. Zoe stuck in boarding school being bullied nonstop while he learns Chloe is essentially a really lonely kid with only one other friend who she hasn't seen in ages. (Because Gabriel and Emile keep Adrien cooped up in the mansion since he was little)
When he turns eighteen he decides, forget it, and essentially by sneaky ways gets custody of his sisters. How? I dunno this series had a teenage girl somehow become Mayor of Paris logic has no place here!
At first he doesn't really know what to do with them. He's sneaky and manipulative and partially took them because he thought they'd be useful but he made the dreaded mistake of becoming.... attached.
Darn it... he loves them now so there goes his plans using them moving up in the Kingdom but that's fine he can manipulate other people...
What changes?
Noe can actually handle Chloe, but instead of making her worse he helps her grow her talents to be actually praised for such as gymnastics, help her singing and acting career, and honestly she becomes an animated version of Sharpay from HSM. Can be antagonistic but has charm and flair.
Zoe is the baby sister who is doted on by her big brother and sister Zoe's at first a really shy girl thanks to the years of horrible bullying along with them being so protective, Chloe especially so because she always wanted a baby sister. Zoe goes to school for the first time and becomes friends with Mari, which is the thing that triggers Chloe to be a bit of a bully to her. That is HER little sister Marintte how dare you think you could be a better friend than she is! Ridiculous, utterly ridiculous!
Things take a turn when Ray moves to school (Much earlier) with his posse of the chopped trio and they start bullying Zoe again. Marinette sticks up for her before Chloe has a chance. Chloe begrudgingly decides Marinette's okay she guesses. The two girls form a frenemy sort of relationship. They don't like each other but they'll get along for Zoe's sake since they both care about her.
Basically a scene from this AU would go like this.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Noe: "Zoe... are those pests bullying you again?"
Zoe: "Huh? Um... well yes but I can handle them don't wo- What're you doing?"
Noe:"Just making a little purchase of a lakefront where I happen to know that idiot keeps his fancy Yachts. Nothing to worry about Zo-Zo."
Zoe:"Oh my gosh... Chloe tell our crazy brother to stop."
Chloe: "Of course I will Zoekins, he's being ridiculous."
Zoe: "Good..."
Chloe: "....After I'm done ruining that boy's whole career...."😈
Zoe: "Oh no..."
Five Minutes Later...
Mari: "Hi Zoe ready to go to-what happened?"
They stare at a traumatized looking Ray rocking himself in the corner with tears in his eyes. Nelson pats his head and Loiic looks just as traumatized behind Ray.
Mari: ".... Chloe?"
Zoe: "Chloe."
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Boom, everyone wins.
Oh and Chloe and Zoe share the Bee Miraculous from time to time. Zoe becomes more of a knight aka worker Bee to Chloe's Queen Bee that way she can represent wanting to look out for her big sister like she does for her.
Noe is still an antagonist but complex since he is a good caretaker for his sisters even if his methods are antagonistic at times. (Yes Zoe does call him out on it unlike how Andre isn't when he makes power moves)
I just wrote this because I love wholesome family relationships and them being with the antagonist is just as fun to write about. Same for AUs.
Ykw hell yeah
