An expensive Ethereum NFT, CryptoPunk #8611, was purchased for approximately $95,000 and later burned, symbolically tied to a Bitcoin NFT-like asset.
The decision to destroy CryptoPunk #8611 was led by the community, involving Wolf Capital Developer Nathan Stein and Bitcoin Bandits holders. Around 150 people contributed to the effort.
CryptoPunk #8611, a high-priced NFT, was permanently removed from circulation, creating a connection to an inscription on a Bitcoin NFT-like asset, with the community actively participating in the initiative.
