More Io, from when I was trying to get more comfortable drawing baby drakens.

I took loose inspiration from pokemon cards for this style. The background wasn't planned, but I added it after seeing all the beautiful gouache backgrounds for old pokemon art! I really like how it turned out. The color scheme is pleasing to me.

Was inspired by Ghibli backgrounds for this one and I'm very please with how it came out ^_^ It's hard for me to draw backgrounds in general but I'm glad the group is pushing me to learn. I especially love the flowers!

Experimental Rosa

I was trying a new inking style with a thicker, textured brush. I also wanted to see if I could execute a sort of washed out, de saturated white-leaning color scheme successfully while keeping values and hue in check. There was a definite direction in my head so I went there, lol.

Update

I know it seems like I've been making very little art lately but I've actually been hunched in front of the tablet drawing a lot lately. Feels good. Feels organic. A lot of it has been for me/kind of indulgent art since I've been having a bit of a stressful time IRL and I suppose it doesn't fit my "polished art" standard for this account but I really should post some of it.

My gf bought me a used/cheap listing of my very dream tablet and my speed/productivity has been a lot better since then. It's an absolute dream and I can't wait to see where my art and workflow go continuing from here.

I also forgot to mention this but I've been making a lot of art for Whistler Crest ARPG lately. Figured my usual target audience wouldn't be interested in seeing that but I did make a side blog @lazarus-io

I'll most likely reblog more impressive pieces from there, but I'll tag it #whistler crest so that those who aren't interested can blacklist ^_^ I also want to add some WC characters to my Art Fight page soon.

I'm very very excited for Art Fight!! So hopefully I'll be posting a bunch in July (fingers crossed my PC doesn't have issues like last year). I want to try to push my limits and try new things while also getting my output above ~3 attacks so we'll see. I really really wanna make at least one comic attack!!!!
