I based this mini comic off of like two tumblr posts. IM NOT WORKING WITH A LOT HERE. I hope you can forgive me if I fucked up their characters so badly. Uhhh just pretend it’s an AU of Nightwatch where they act the way I predict they do. But like there’s reasons why I made them say the things they did.

This is also taking place in Atrophy’s dreamspace that he created for Psych. Atrophy is roleplaying as Fawn here cuz psych sorta wanted him to and he just did it 😔

The full cringe experience

I was thinking about doing a mini shit comic about this for weeks and I’ve been too lazy to do it until now. And NOBODY can force me to make it better, f u. There’s a couple things I like to say tho. OG Fawn actually did say those cringe things in her letter but it like wasn’t anything actually romantic. Psych didn’t see that way either cus they are stupid. Atrophy agreed to roleplay as Fawn because he thought it would make him do something “expected” of a man.. in a way Atrophy was testing Psych with the changes he made while being Fawn in the dream. It’s not really noticeable in my simplistic ass art but he made Fawn look more like himself (psych didn’t notice either) . AND im assuming psych has no visual romantic preferences because he’s literally a wall man with no social skills but I could be wrong. 😑 also why is psych trying to lie to an empath, is he stupid. having psych meet Fawn first before Atrophy would make him a bit more resistant to Atrophy’s toxic masculinity ways… he’s confused. Did someone ask how they are going to get up in a poly?? I’d say, don’t worry about it

I was going to make him more glitchy, but that would make the design too cluttered, so now the error messages and heavier glitching effects only pop up when he's upset in some way. Also trans jumpscare. The self indulgence demons won 🏳️‍⚧️

While on the topic, here’s some of my thoughts on Fawn and Psych without going too in depth (lies). You may skip my rambles if you choose so 🥳

(Atrophy is hard to genuinely think abt bc how can I see him as anything except an attention deprived sort of weirdo. That’s why I love him!!) they’d be like an okay couple, the way they act about each other is bordering on being stalker-ish. For a good chunk of knowing each other, they never actually talk irl besides the first interaction. Fawn sorta bluffed her way into finding out where he lived by lying about totally being his friend to the hospital staff :/ listen she stopped when she found out the one and only times he wouldn’t be there (blood drain) so she could leave letters for him without the risk of actual confrontation. (psych considers rescheduling his blood drains but is also intimidated by the fact it might lead to an actual confrontation.)

This honestly probably makes psych feel a little bit better for a couple reason. Like ‘I know I’m weird but at least my not THAT weird’ while looking at the hospital cctv footage when she comes when he goes back to his room :/ He doesn’t,, liek report her because he’s embarrassed to say he basically doesn’t have any friends. They both get a little bit too comfortable with routine so that’s why they don’t really interact with each other for a longtime. Weirdos.

Oddly this is all platonic until later.. Fawn’s letters aren’t romantic? Besides the first couple of times, She’s just is basically venting the whole damn time. She doesn’t really think about a way for him to actually respond to her letter so… ofc psych would theoretically know how to respond back but the way he got her contact info was dubious at best. at least she’s considerate enough to give him weird stuff like soap shaped like pastries every other week.. the only way this ended up working out was because they are both very weird and have a warped perception of what is normal. anyway there’s more but that’s the only part that I feel a little confident with 🤔

This was all written out in my notes.. I just rewrote it to make it a little bit easier to understand for someone who isn’t me. And also since Fawn lore isn’t public knowledge lol. But for background info, Fawn was a patient that needed psych’s help . She knew he helped her but she wasn’t aware of the fact he’s an asshole cuz she was kinda dying :( but like. She got better and discharged from the hospital, that’s when she started bothering psych like a completely normal person. Im rlly indecisive and picky about my stories so this all might be changed a bit. Idfk. I forgot how to write romance!! All I think about is found family! 

I finally figured out how to balance hyper fixations in my mind (not really). I’m not a nightwatch machine anymore 🥲🥲

Instead of soap shaped pastries you can just give him soap he needs it desperately.

I’ll be honest🥲 the amount of mental gymnastics I made Fawn go through is crazy. Psych wasn’t actually in charge of her. She had doctors. basically he was just living drug she needed to get better. She had like a moments lucidity, saw psych for a moment getting his blood drained for her and was like tHATs the guy who saved me. Only half joking..

She doesn’t even know half of this basement rat man but even when she does, she will stay bc she has way too much empathy for him now :/

Fawn unfortunately assumes the best of him and thought he wasn’t a stinker and took baths so she only gave him DECORATIVE soaps. Oh The fool she was.

At least Fawn won’t be doing mental backflips when I start thinking about atrophy and Fawn.. I mean this in the nicest way possible. Psych probably the type of character that needs an inciting action.. he’s an actual shut in from what I can gather 😔

Here’s the entire canvas I used for that silly little TikTok meme plus an extra one. Honestly it’s all over the damn place mostly because Fawn was in design hell for a bit, but I felt like I was hiding it from you or something since I drew YOUR characters.
