I think Obanai has this place in his heart that’s just for you and nobody else, and he would want nothing more to keep it like that. But he can’t have that just yet with you, and he can’t give that to you now, there are still demons out there, and he will kill off every demon he has to just to be able to have that life with you. Though, he’s more than happy to cherish every waking moment he gets with you.

He isn’t good with words, try as he might to express himself through the letters you two would often write one another, he just fails to put into words how much his heart yearns to earn you affections. IGURO OBANAI X HARD OF HEARING GN! READER HEADCANONS.

Obanai couldn’t help to stare at (y/n) every time that he sees them.

he had never seen someone that beautiful before, soft looking eyes, pink cheeks, their kindness with everyone.

at his eyes there was no other being as wonderful as (y/n).

Innocent boy Iguro didn’t knew about (y/n) bad hearing, who could even tell? Their development was the same as the other pillars, and he heard them talk with the others pillars too laughing with Shinobu, talking with Tomioka, the three new boys (Inosuke without his mask) and Sanemi’s little brother.

But with him? zero significant interactions.

Sometimes Mitsuri invite them to eat, and most of the times Iguro offers to pay for (y/n), they always thanked him with that precious voice of them and bright smile.

Sometimes (y/n) paid for Iguro’s food too.

He told them it wasn’t necessary but he was “ignored”

Like his constant attempts to interact with (y/n)

“—(y/n) how was your mission?” “—Are you hungry?” “—Do you need something?” “—You look so cute today” “—do you wanna go for a walk?”

(y/n) could only answer with a smile and a confused look.

(y/n) was happy because of the gifts, but at the same time they felt sad since they couldn’t be closer to Iguro because their bad hearing, also the mask was a problem to them.

(y/n) was able to read lips, that’s how they can understand and talk with the other pillars, but Iguro’s mask made everything difficult.

The mask was there for a reason, (y/n) didn’t knew it, and didn’t want to be invasive and make the man uncomfortable with questions, so they just decided to stay like that.

But Iguro constant gifts make them want to talk to him as soon as posible, thanked him and explain the situation.

So (y/n) sent their crow with a message to the man.

“Let’s meet at the cherry blossom tree in my farm, please”

His heart was doki doki, (y/n) wanted to meet with him.

Was they gonna say thanks? Or, was they gonna tell him to stop bothering them with gifts?

▪he feels absolutely helpless. He hates this feeling, losing you just reminds him so much about Sabito and it feels like lemon juice on an open wound.

▪Wishes to take your place as he holds your dead body. His disgust and hatred towards demons increases tenfold.

▪He becomes even more ruthless. Any and all demons will be killed on sight. (Except for nezuko, shes baby)

▪Hes so much quieter, he barely even speaks and it worries the other pillars greatly.

Was all of his training for nothing? Had he let you die just as he had let Sabito die?.

Heroic. That was a word that matched Sabito and yourself to damn well in Giyuu’s opinion. Nothing mattered to you unless everyone else was safe. Even if that meant your death for the price of everyone else's survival.

His own words stung as he remembered that encounter with Tanjirou.

And yet, here you are, a pillar, one of the strongest demon slayers to ever step foot on the battlefield, slowly dying in his arms.

a cold rage had engulfed his soul and it was burning his body whole while you smiled. Why was your smile so, irritating to him…

Your smile was a weak one, plastered on your face with the last of your energy and willpower. Maybe that’s why he thought your smile was so unbearable to look at. Because you’ve accepted your death, your going to leave him alone again and he felt so bad for feeling so selfish.

He loved you, but the hole in your stomach wasn't going to repair itself, you weren't a demon, you couldn't grow new organs within a split second.

Tears that he thought could never shed slid down his face, pouring down his face as he entwined his fingers with yours .

"Giyuu..."

You were never one to listen when bluntly told what to do, even if you were better off quiet, you just could seem to help yourself.

"I'm sorry...for...for being so weak..."

Giyuu's chest clenched painfully, you didnt deserve to view yourself in such a way. Because you were the strongest person he had ever known. You and Sabito, both heroes, who died brutally in a unfair way.

"Please, dont say such words..."

The tips of your fingers felt cold against his own, your wrist became more limp and he knew he only had a few seconds left with you.

"I...I care...so much about you...I would...died a thousand... times and... and more...if it meant that you'd be safe..."

Blood drenched Giyuus clothes, but he couldn't care less, because the light in your eyes had faded and your hand held in his was now completely lifeless.

▪he was kinda sad at first, he felt upset for being inconsiderate to her feelings.

▪Hes all sad and gloomy and his snake slithers away from him and his first thought is "Are you going to leave me as well?"

▪but then you show up with his snake wrapped around you like a scarf and hes just in awe

▪Who is this beautiful creature and why isnt his snake attacking her?

▪He's speechless, absolutely speechless at the sight of you. His snake seems to be just as attracted to you as he is.

▪kinda scrawls at his snake when you hand him back over, "That's so rude!, what do you think your doing?" Hes actually jealous

▪When Gyomei Introduces you to the other pillars as his younger sister, Obanai isnt completely surprised, your very calm and collected, especially around deadly creatures like his snake.

▪you spot Iguro and just-- walks up to him like you've know eachother for years and the other pillars including Gyomei are so confused.

▪But when you coo over his snake, A wave of hushed giggles can be heard by the other pillars as Iguro's ears turned red.

These were a few things that your husband would shout continuously. Sometimes you wondered if he was yelling at Genya just so he couldn’t lovingly yell at you, because “our kids gonna be so strong!” and “Yelling at you might stress the baby!”.

Despite what the others may think, Sanemi treats you like royalty. He loves you to the point where he doesn't ever want to lose you.

If your being completely honest,you knew that Sanemi never wanted children, infact, he didn't even want a wife. But here he stands, almost requiring both of those.

You never took his harsh words to heart and he appreciated that trait about you. You were very understanding and patient with him, he truly believes that you are far to good for him.

Losing his mother brought so much pain for both Genya and Sanemi, and Sanemi had no intentions of going through that tragic situation ever again.

But he felt confident in himself, he knew he could protect you now that hes grown so much in strength.

However, during tou pregnant, you had the weirdest cravings and harshest mood swings.

Sometimes, you'd demand things for noth you and Genya from Sanemi, and your husband knew not to pick on Genya when your in sight.

"Sanemi, if you do get me my chocolate dipped pickles right now, I will scream, oh, and Genya what would you like? Since Sanemi is going into town"

"What!? Itll take days to get to the nearest town on foot from here!"

Sanemi would complain, but the moment he said that, was the moment he started walking. Because no one defys the queen, and feeding the queen will bring him a healthy princess.
