currently obsessed with the fosters, so i'm going to be adding some muses from there and revamping my muse list for the other fandoms. basically gonna start over from scratch here because i think that's the only way i'll ever get back into writing.

Athena’s eyes narrowed slightly. “Oh, don’t do that,” she warned. “Don’t mistake me being worried for me overreacting.”

She crossed her arms, holding Harper’s gaze. “You came home late. No call. No text. You know how many worst-case scenarios I see every single day?”

A sigh escaped her then. “And yes, I was a kid once. Which is exactly why I know how quickly things can go wrong.” Her expression softened only slightly.

“So yeah, there are consequences.” Athena pointed toward the hallway.“You should probably head to bed early. You’re getting up very early tomorrow for school, and I’ll be taking you. And trust me, Harper, the drive is where the real lecture happens.”

"Great. Can't wait." The sarcasm lacing her words was very evident as Harper made her way towards her bedroom. She wondered if there was any way she could intercept Bobby in the morning and get him to call her out sick from school to avoid this drive with Athena, but she highly doubted it. Especially not if the two of them talked before Harper was able to speak to him about all of this.

Instead, she went to her room and crashed into her bed almost immediately. Which turned out to be a good thing, because before she knew it she was being woken up by the sound of a loud alarm. Checking her phone, she let out a groan when she saw the time. "5 am, seriously?" she groaned to herself, putting a pillow over her face and groaning again. She had thought Athena had been joking about the waking up very early part, but clearly she had not.

Knowing there was no use in going back to sleep because she'd be forced out of bed one way or the other, she slowly got up and got herself dressed before making her way down to the kitchen and looking for something in the fridge that might help take away the hangover she currently had as well as the tiredness she felt.

"God today is going to suck," she said to nobody in particular as she poured herself a glass of orange juice and waited for the inevitable disaster of a day to start.

"What do you wanna do today?" Harper asked with a quick glance over to Merritt. "Shopping? Binge watch a show? Stay in bed for the rest of the day pondering our life choices and what led us to where we are?" Okay the last one wasn't serious, even if sometimes Harper had the notion to do that. Especially since landing in New York City. She'd never imagined moving to the other side of the country, but when life dealt you a shitty hand, well, you did what you had to with it.

"Seriously though, you would think for being in a big city like this there would be more exciting things to do every day."

"What'd I tell you last time we had this argument?" Bobby asked, letting out a huff of air as he crossed his arms and stared over at Rufus. "I said you were an idjit and I still mean it. There ain't no way the two of us can take down somethin' like this on our own. I know you don't wanna get John's boys brought into this, but they're younger and spryer than we are and I think it would be a good idea to have backup. So, are you gonna pull your head outta your behind, or do I need to talk more sense into ya before we go on this death mission?" // @bleakfated gets a starter

"What's all of this for?" Grace walked into the house and was surprised to see a nice spread laid out on the table in front of her. It had been a long day at the dispatch center, and she was far from angry at the food she saw spread out before her, though she was definitely curious as to what it was all about. "Did I forget we're havin' company over tonight? Because if so, I need to hurry up and take a shower and get ready. Or are you just goin' for the best husband in the world award?" Or maybe he had some terrible news to tell her and this was his way of lessening the blow, though she wasn't going to bring that option up. // @fervidus gets a starter

"I need a favor." Maybe not the best way to start a conversation with the cousin you hadn't seen in a while, but Gabby didn't know where else to go or what else to do. Of all her cousins, Vivian was probably the one she trusted the most to keep her secrets for her, which was why she was here. Of course she'd made sure her uncle wasn't around; last thing she needed was for Weston to overhear this conversation and go running back to Judd with everything he'd heard.

"I need your help with something, and I'm not sure what to do about it. I thought maybe you could give me some advice before I have to bring daddy into it and get his help. Are you down to help?" // @fervidus gets a starter

"Who would have thought the two of us would get a day off together without either of us having to put in for a personal day?" Athena was settled on the couch next to Bobby, head resting on his shoulder. It was rare they had days like this together, and with the house being empty it was all too tempting to stay inside and make use of their time together. Right now they were catching up on a show they hadn't watched together in a while, though Athena had plenty of other ideas for how to spend their time.

"Why don't we order in some food and just stay like this all day? Aside from maybe moving to the bedroom later, I can't think of anything else I'd rather be doing with you." // @fervidus gets a starter

"Did Harry finally lighten up around you at work?" May had never intended for Harry to find out about her and Ravi the way he did, but that didn't mean he was allowed to take things out on the other firefighter at work. "Or do I need to have another talk with him? Because if he keeps treating you badly, I'm going to have something more to say about it."

It wasn't like she'd intended for anything to happen between her and Ravi, but that first date had been magical and they'd just continued to see each other and, well, they worked well together. Harry was just going to have to get over himself.

"Don't tell Buck about this," Eddie began, pulling a small box out of his pocket, "but I plan on proposing this weekend when we go up to the mountains. I need your help with the best way to do it so it's romantic and something he'll never forget." He thought Adriana would be the best choice in helping him come up with a decent proposal that they could tell their kids about in the future. He wanted Buck to say yes and needed to make sure that happened, or this whole thing would have been a waste. "What do you think, Adri? Any ideas for your little brother?"

"This is nice." Derek had a break from work, and he'd chosen to spend that time with Roxie. Sure, he'd technically taken a vacation, but that wasn't a word that was generally in his vocabulary, so he considered it a little break instead. "I'm really glad you talked me into cashing out some of my PTO hours. I'm pretty sure Hotch was shocked when I told him I was taking a couple weeks off for personal time. We don't usually do that."

Still, he was glad he had. Because spending all this time with Roxie? It was showing him just how much he truly wanted to settle down with someone - that particular someone being the woman he was sitting with currently.

"So, what do you want to do tonight? We can go find a nice restaurant or go down to the beach and have a picnic. Anything you want to do, is fine with me."

"You will be driven to school in the morning, you will be picked up in the afternoon. You will come home and you will do your homework. Once it is complete, you will eat dinner. Then, you will go to your room and you may read, study, draw or write. Or clean. Something productive. That is how you will spend your month. So, there should be no need for your phone. You will not leave this house without permission."

If her mouth wasn't already open, it would have dropped then. Harper couldn't believe what she was hearing. Was Athena being serious with this? Clearly she was, and Harper knew better than to ask if this was some kind of a joke. That would likely only lead to further consequences for her. "I can't believe you're doing all this just because I came home a little late last night. It's not like anything happened. Maybe you should try to relax and remember that you were a kid once, too."
