This clip is from the movie The Parent Trap, starring Lindsay Lohan. It is actually a remake of a very old movie by the same name. To me, this is one of the sweetest movies I have seen of this type. It's just a feel good movie and I highly recommend it.

~ Untamed Passion

Lightning streaked across the sky

Thunder crashed the night

She moaned softly in my arms

I understood her plight

Somehow the power of nature

Was coursing through her veins

It drew her like a magnet

She could not fight its reins

She was not the type of woman

To seek shelter safe and warm

She grabbed my hand, we raced together

Into the fury of the storm

A bolt of lightning pierced the night

Some would call us both insane

But our passion mounted with the storm

As we made love in the rain

The storm now full upon us

The lightning very near

But our screams of passion

Were the only sounds that I could hear

On and on the tempest raged

Till with it we were one

Storm and souls had fused together

When it all was done

The storm had gone, it could not match

The strength of our desire

Torrents of rain could not begin

To quench the fire

This time we made love more slowly

There was no need to race

But in our hearts we hoped tomorrow

Would bring another storm to chase

I realize I've posted this before but posting it again for new followers. People have asked me about my nickname here. And no I am not a real storm chaser but I love storms and this is one of my favorite poems. So this is where my nickname Stormchsr, was born, about 30 years ago.

More female fighter pilots. Very cool.

If you like action movies about jet fighters, I highly recommend the movie:

Top Gun Maverick. Though I'm not a big fan of Tom Cruise, this movie, which is the sequel to Top gun, I thought was great. Only one female pilot but all the action with her and the other pilots was pretty intense. Check it out if you like this type of movie.

This is pretty much a true story that happened years ago. The woman, the kiss, the airport and the feeling. All true.

I wrote this poem for the woman that it was about.

~~~ First Kiss

In many a movie that I have seen

And in novels I have read

They speak of that once-in-a-lifetime kiss

That makes the world hang by a thread

A kiss so passionate that time stands still

And the universe ceases to exist

And you know in your heart only your one true love

Could make you feel like this

But to me these were only words in a script

Some lonely writer's fantasy

In all my many years of searching

It had never happened to me

Until that day in a crowded airport

Our eyes and lips met for the very first time

I learned what they meant about that kiss

As your heart joined forever with mine

In that moment, that special moment

Our world became just you and I

Only silence all around us

No more people passing by

But the only mistake the writer's made

Was the once-in-a-lifetime part

Since all your kisses have done this to me

Right from that very start

I rarely post or repost about couples and romance. I guess they bring back memories of a love lost so long ago. But this short video is much too beautiful not to share.

Reminiscing. I spent my teen years living in the country. My grandparents had a small farm, about 50 acres. My dad bought a 9 acre piece of land from them and built a house. I spent my days roaming the fields and forests and many of my nights away from home beside a campfire, sleeping on the hard ground in a sleeping bag or less. Eating baked beans from the can. I think about how different and foreign this would seem to today's teenager. But I have no regrets. This was an amazing way to grow up.

Many people have a special bond with animals. Some with cats, some with dogs, some with horses and so on. I think each one is very different. The animals themselves are different as well as the people that love them. None better than the other, just different. This is a good thing. We are all different and what would we do without our four legged companions. It would be a very sad world without them.
