Three reasons for the emergence of this comic:

1) It was created as a thematic comic for the holiday of cats, which in Russia is celebrated on the first of March

2) It is a replica of the Russian meme “дрочишь небось?”. I do not know if such a thing exists in an English-speaking environment.

3) In Russian, the word "Котик" (diminutive from the word “cat”) is consonant with the word "Алотик" (diminutive from the word “Aloth”), and therefore is in fact a nominal name for this character in the fandom environment.

Background: in Russia there is a fan game "Fandom Kombat", in which people represent creativity in their favorite canons. Our team represents creativity about Tyranny and Pillars of Eternity and abbreviated as "TyPoE" (also in russian "тупое" means "stupid" and it is a self-ironic joke about our team :) ). According to the rules for each text or art we need to have a banner that acts as "read more".
