i’m gonna cry it’s raining right now and i just passed by a family where both parents were without an umbrella but their kid who couldn’t have been older than like 3-4 was proudly holding this GIANT umbrella whose diameter was as tall (if not taller) as the kid. both the parents were getting absolutely drenched but u could tell the kid was just so happy to have an “adult” task and carry the umbrella themselves and i think that sacrifice is what love is all about

i was training a young person at work, and she referred to sexual assault as "SA" out loud, and i immediately was like, "no, it's sexual assault, call it what it is," bc idgaf if the algorithm overlords have taught y'all that you should fear direct language, how tf do any of you expect to ever address real issues with any amount of seriousness if you can't even say the words? imagine an advocate looking a sexual assault survivor in the eyes and asking "did he grape you?" it's absolutely fucking absurd, but these young interns and new hires are coming into an environment where we deal with survivors of all different kinds of abuse, and they're coming with the mindset that the words are as bad as the actions, and that makes them shitty at the job and look juvenile af

i HATE self-censorship for a lot of reasons, but being in crisis work makes it even more frustrating. who are you censoring for? like i am being so fr, WHO are you censoring for? have you even thought it through? people who have been raped know that they have been raped. if someone attempts suicide or is grieving someone who did, saying "sewer slide" isn't going to protect them from any of the feelings. a murder victim's family isn't going to feel better bc you said "unalived" instead of murdered. if anything, it's just extremely invalidating and othering. it's saying "what happened to you is so bad that i won't even say the word," which is NOT trauma-informed care. you are not protecting survivors/victims when you self-censor. the ONLY things you protect when you self-censor are the puritanical ideologies that are being encouraged by rich fascists who want your money and obedience

This isn't Steve Rogers by the way. I refuse to believe Disney is selling this guy to me as an alternate version of Steve Rogers. This is literally just Chris Evans. They recasted Chris Evans because they think having him in the movie will make them more money than if they just... added good ol' Steve Rogers. They're not even TRYING to tell us that this is supposed to be Steve. THEY DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER TO MAKE HIM BLOND!!! THEY DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER TO DYE HIS HAIR!!!! THE ONLY THING TELLING US THAT THIS IS ACTUALLY STEVE IS BECAUSE CHRIS EVANS IS PLAYING HIM!!!

"Oh but he wasn't blond in Infinity War either" yeah cuz he had a lore-related reason not to be. It was never explicitly said in the movie but you could very easily figure out that Steve, being a fugitive, had to grow a beard and dye his hair in order to hide from the government (the same way Nat did when bleaching her own hair).

Marvel better have a good fucking reason for Steve looking the way he does in Doomsday. And it better not be the "it's a Steve from another universe so he looks different" bullshit. Because right now, all I'm seeing is a famous actor who was given a ludicrous amount of money to play in a cash-grabbing blockbuster amongst other famous actors just so Disney can tell the viewers "look!!! this famous actor that you love is in this new movie we're making!!!! you should go see it now go see it go see it buy a ticket buy a ticket go to the theater go see it!!!!!"

Steve AFTER Bucky's supposed death pushed away his original views and instead became dead set on revenge and stopping Hydra, no matter the cost.

"I'm not going to stop until all of Hydra is dead or captured"

Doesn't matter through which lense you view their relationship, whether it's romantic, platonic, or queerplatonic - Cap loved Bucky to the point where, when grieving, he shifted his entire perception of the world.

We see it happen multiple times, with Steve dropping his shield for Buck TWICE.
