When looking back on the Sequel Trilogy as a whole, two things really stick out to me:

And Dark Rey really could have been utilized much more as a way to explore and not only Rey's personality but give her an internal conflict that she couldn't just defeat in combat. Exploring a deeper side of what truly goes into balancing the light and darkness Within one's self.

Kylo's foil dynamic with Finn was criminally underutilized. The two had very similar structure surrounding the characters since they had been on both sides of the war and had taken on their own names rather than keeping the names assigned to them. Both characters have been conflicted and both made a choice.

It would be interesting that if someone ever rewrote the sequel Trilogy, for episode VIII focus on the dynamic between kylo and Finn and Rey's internal struggle with her own dark side
