Whoa, whoa, whoa! That went downhill really fast!
Judging by the hurt look on Shuuâs face, Tasuku could tell just what was going on here. They were both so awkward that it was almost frustrating and painful to bear witness to. Of course, Shuuâs overwhelming crush on Valt was evident to the entire mansion by now, even to the oblivious Tasuku.Â
âOkay!â He interjected quickly, loudly, before Shuu could look any more downtrodden. âValt-kun, what Shuu-kun wants to know is your honest feelings for him. When you see Shuu-kun, whatâs the kind of thing that you think about? Something like, âI want to spend the rest of my life with himâ orâŠ?â
Valt may not be the most emotional in tune person there was, but he knew Shuu far longer than anyone else he met and he knows when the other is upset.
What donât I understand?
Why canât you just tell me ShuuâŠ.
Thankfully, Tasuku interjected before he could begrudgingly accept his dismissal and left to wonder on the matter on his own (because what else could he possible do when it involves Shuu).
⊠Didnât he just answer with his honest feeling already? If anything, his best friend has yet to answer him! Still, at Tasukuâs encouragement, he attempts again to understand exactly what he wasnât getting.
He always picture Shuu being around, always in his life, no matter what, but wasnât that natural?
âMmmâŠ. but Shuu always does things on his own, so heâs not always around. I wish he was more! Itâs always more fun when heâs around, but I know he likes to be by himself too.â
âBut itâs not always good for him too!â He gave a specific glare at his shoulder, âAnd I wished he relied on me more, even if all I do is cause him trouble! And you always hide your troubles. I know youâre smart and really good that you donât have to rely on anyone, but I want to help you too Shuu.â
âI canât do that if you donât tell me though!â
âTasuku-san, you really have no shame, do you?â
He always wanted to respect Tasuku, who had been protecting him and Valt since day one, but the lord was testing him today.Â
...Yeah. Really testing him, with Valtâs very honest feelings pouring right out of him.
Fighting to keep a straight face, Shuu retorted:
âIâm not like you, Valt. Iâm used to doing things on my own. Thatâs how itâs been for the past six years.â
Valt knew that Shuuâs parents were often so busy that they often left Shuu on his own. The result came in the form of Shuuâs reclusive demeanor, his lone wolf habits, and his tendency to shoulder his problems on his own, even when one of those shoulders had been injured.
âSo whatâs so bad about it, Valt? Isnât it less trouble for you if you donât have to help me out every time something little goes wrong?â
