Hiya! Applesplash here! I'm the account behind @cutecurren @stormy-front-runner.

I just wanted to inform everyone that I'll be taking a little break from the rp, about two weeks.

I'm going on an over seas European vacation (to England and France) to celebrate graduating highschool.

This has been a dream of mine for a long time, so I;m super excited! But naturally, I won't really have time to check my blog, my schedule is super packed!

Palmer sat up with a start. The doctor had relegated her to bed rest, so she had been taking a leisurely afternoon nap, heaven knows there wasn't much else to do.

She turned her attention to the foot of her bed. She could've sworn she had heard something.

There, in all of their red and green glory, stood Mario and Luigi, having emerged from a large pipe next to the baseboard.

Palmer blinked. Surely she was still dreaming? She gave herself a sharp pinch and winced slightly. Nope, she was definitely awake.

"Mario?! Luigi?!," she yelped in surprise.

Palmer tugged slightly at her bandages. They wrapped from back to front, all the way around the left side of her face. She had been struck hard, right above her left eye.

The injury was pretty ugly, but she was fortunate enough not to have broken anything. A concussion and stiches were less than ideal, but the bandages made her wounds look worse than they actually were.

"I don't look too good..huh?", Her speach was slow and deliberate, as if taking took a great deal out of her.

"Noone told me... about the protests. I went for a walk...and someone throw a big rock...at me. I guess it got me pretty good"...

"Do..Do you think a mushroom...could help? I'm in a lot of pain right now.. I don't think Shima...gave me any pain...medicine."

The Mejiro girl stared warily at the fungi floating in front of her. It was large, around the size of her head, and terribly cute.

She felt bad eating something so adorable, but she was comforted by the knowledge of it's lack of sentience.

She took a deep breath and took a bite, closing her eyes and letting the woodsy flavor wash over her. It was surprisingly tasty!

She blinked open her baby blue eyes. The world was spining beneath her. The brothers, already significanly shorter than her, were now completly dawrfed by towering frame.

Palmer rubbed her head gentely after bumping it against the celling.

"Umm...Was this supposed to happen?"

Palmer thought for a second. Being large did have it's advantages, of course, but none of that mattered if she was too big to leave the dorm.

It only took her a second to think of an idea. Mario had said the effects would last until she was hurt again...that was easy enough to arrange. And it wasn't like she had to do anything too drastic to qualify as hurt, right?

Before she could talk herself out of it, she leaned forward, pulled her hand towards her mouth and bit down on her thumb as hard as she could without drawing blood.

She let out a small "eep" and fell several feet onto the matress below.

It was quiet for a few moments, before Palmer broke the silence with an uproarus laugh.

"Ahahaha! I feel like Alice in Wonderland! That was..high-key epic, fr fr!"

Perhaps the brothers hadn't succded in healing her, but they had made her laugh. And as they say, laughter is the best medicine.

"No way this actually just happened! I can't wait to tell the gals! Ya'll are a riot!"

The tawny haired uma hesitated slightly. She didn't want a repeat of the last time. But she trusted the brothers, so she pushed down her feelings and took another bite.

She smiled as the flavor washed over her once again. It was surprisingly sweet this time, and reminded her a little of Mont Blanc.

She felt her face begin to tingle, and her wounds begin to heal. She tugged of her bandages and let out a sigh of releif.

She could feel her senses returning to normal. The only sign of her ingurys was a faint scar, stretched diagonally above her left eye.

She laughed once more and turned towards Mario and Luigi.

"No way!! I can't believe this actually worked! Your magic mushrooms are straight fire! You should totes tell Air Groove about these, maybe she could grow them in the garden?"

She pulled the brothers into a tight hug, her tail wagging profuesly. "Thanks a Mil!"

*The man pridfully boasts as he continues to throw handfulls of pebbles at palmer's body, before his face goes sour.*
