Predictions (or hopes) for 5x05?

im glad you added 'hopes' there because as far as actual, realistic predictions go i have no idea what to expect from this episode ;;;;;; i do think the episode is gonna be more buck centric, since taylor is gonna be back too, but aside from that i only have hopes and dreams, which are:

im fine with buck being a bit snarky or snappy with ravi since in their kind of job the smallest hesitation can make a difference when it comes to save someone's life, but i also really want buck to support ravi and be there for him. i also got the feeling from the promo that something is going to go terribly wrong, and im not sure if it's gonna be because of ravi hesitating, or buck making a bad call, or just the two of them not working well together, but i really want the two of them to have a serious conversation about their partnership and find a way to make it work;

talking about partnership, the synopsis for the episode mentions hen and eddie having some issues too, and i keep wondering what those issues could be because they seem to work so well together???? they both respect and trust each other, so it's hard to imagine them disagreeing on something, but eddie can be a bit reckless from time to time, though it usually jumps out when kids are involved and i don't think there will be any in the calls. i'd like to say hen will start to see some signs of eddie not being okay (because he is very much not okay) and eddie will get all defensive about it, but.. yeah, hopes and dream;

JUST AS IT IS MY HOPE AND DREAM TO HAVE EDDIE ASKS HEN ABOUT HOW SHE KNEW SHE LIKED WOMEN AND WHAT MADE HER REALIZE SHE WAS IN LOVE WITH KAREN;

ALSO PLEASE GIVE ME JUST TWO SECONDS OF EDDIE AND BUCK MOVING TO GO TAKE CARE OF THINGS TOGETHER BEFORE REMEMBERING THEY'RE NOT PARTNERS ANYMORE IM BEGGING;

up until now we got a pretty meaningful buddie scene in every episode, so i wonder if we're gonna get one in this episode too, OR if we're gonna see buck talking to taylor about the situation at work with ravi and have a parallel between eddie giving buck advices and taylor giving him one;

i have to say im.. not too happy with whatever they're doing with athena for now, so i hope that whatever possess her to slap harry will be the thing that will make her realize that she is not okay and that she needs help and that maybe being a cop sucks actually;

speaking of which, i know bobby has to and should be there for her, but god, just give me a good scene of bobby with the team;

may getting a call from a suicidal teen is gonna be.. tough, but i hope it's gonna be the moment she stands up to claudette and claudette will apologize to her;

GIVE ME JUST ONE SECOND OF CHIMNEY LOOKING FOR MADDIE I JUST NEED TO SEE HIM..

reading people's posts about how buck's apartment feels cold and impersonal and not lived in, especially compared to how homely eddie's house is, and now im thinking about. buck leaving pieces of himself at eddie's place even before they become a thing. a pair of fuzzy socks forgotten on the couch because his feet get cold at night. magnetic letters he personally bought so he can stuck them on the fridge and leave small messages to chris. a succulent plant that bobby gave to him with a speech about having a nurturing nature but also needing to learn moderation and patience, and buck didn't even mean to leave it at eddie's place but they had movie night after that shift and he forgot to take it with him the next day and now the plant has a spot on one of eddie's windowsill and it's thriving and it wouldn't be right to move it.

just.. buck not really being a guest in eddie's home and having tangible proofs of it scattered all over the house

As the biggest Chimney stan that I know, I’m so interested to see your takes on the new episode 😁

(Not a spoiler, but Kenneth Choi deserves an Emmy for several of his scenes last night)

it's been a day and my main take is still that I LOVE HOWARD CHIMNEY HAN WITH ALL MY HEART AND SOUL. I'VE NEVER WANTED TO MARRY A FICTIONAL CHARACTER MORE IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. HE IS SO IMPORTANT TO ME. ALL I WANT IS FOR HIM TO BE HAPPY AND SAFE. IM GONNA PROTECT HIM AT ALL COSTS WHICH MEANS I WON'T ACCEPT ANY SLANDER AGAINST HIM IN THIS HOUSE (just like i won't accept any against buck either, just to be clear)

but seriously, as painful as it was, i LOVED this episode, and THIS is the show i love and adore, the one where the characters and the relationships between them are at the core of it. the writers of this show have the rare gift of making these fictional characters feel real, of giving them incredibly human reactions, which means that they are far from being perfect and that sometimes they make mistakes, but you get to understand where they're coming from, what they're feeling, and sometimes it HURTS but it's BEAUTIFUL

i know im not making any sense but after the mess that was 5x03 it was so good to find 911 at its best again, though im really sad they ended up cutting the scene with chimney and bobby, and (possibly) the one with eddie and chimney.. I NEED THEM
