Her quirk is called “Photo Beam”, it allows her to create and manipulate small concentrations of light.

Kusuriuri/Mononoke universe:

She is the owner of a textile shop, it’s the family business. Her name is also Hikari in this universe. Since strange occurrences started happening in her shop, she is looking for someone that can han help her…

WHA universe:

She is called Calliope. She is a pointed cap witch that deeply enjoys bards performances. She is an expert in light spells. She is not a big fan of Knight Moralis methods of keeping order.

Hikari was going to cry out of relief. Her coworkers always mentioned how hard was to get a photo of Hawks in action because of how fast he was. Right now he wasn’t in the middle of a battle but she didn’t care, a photo of the number two hero was still really valuable.

She made quick a series of photos, as if fearing he would suddenly disappear.

He flashes her camera a megawatt grin, throwing up a peace sign and sticking his tongue out cheekily. Flaring his wings out so the feathers catch the light. It wasn't too dissimilar to the photoshoots he usually has done when the Commission decides he has time to spare anyways. He knows what looks good and what doesn't, so he sticks to the former.

"Got all you needed?" He asks after a gracious couple seconds.

Hikari stops, blinded temporarily by one of his bright smiles. She quickly checks the camera’ s gallery. She had taken multiple photos in case one of them was blurry or wasn’t good enough but Hawks had managed to look amazing in each single shot. How was he so photogenic?

Ugh, she cringed at the thought. Her internal monologue sounded like one of those crazy fangirls.

“Y-yes! Thank you! The photos came out great.”

"Dawww, thanks. Can't take all the credit though! A model is only ever as good as the photopgrapher taking the picture." He winks, shoving his hands in his pockets, rocking back and forth on the balls of his feet. "Can I see them?" He asks.

Hikari smiled at him. A part of her was happy that he wanted to see the photos.

Ah. No, sorry. I'm a villain, actually. I'm afraid I won't be of much help.

The reporter looks surprised at his honest admission of being a villain. She didn’t want to bother him, if he was a villain, it was a reckless move of her to talk to him in the first place, but there is something she wanted to know before leaving.

“Actually, villains are a result of the discrimination caused by this hero obsessed society. So your feedback could be useful. Have you ever felt alone or discriminated by your quirk rather than because of who you are?”

Alone...? Definitely. But I couldn't really be discriminated against for my quirk. Nobody really knew I existed at all for quite some time. The first people who were really affected by the danger of my quirk were Deku and his friends, but they've since forgiven me, and they discriminated against me more for my actions than my quirk.

But to my understanding, my quirk is a bit unique. I think people would be right to have some fear in regards to me. I don't mean any harm though.

I'm not really sure how it works in terms of labelling. To my understanding, I'm still considered a villain, because I used my quirk to commit a crime. But for what its worth, I have done my time in prison.

My quirk is Isekai. Which is also my name. It allows me to manipulate reality and traverse dimensions. It also grants me immortality.

“Oh, you are right. I was surprised because…a lot of people like to cheat. Criminals usually want to escape before finishing their atonement.”

I help sometimes. But it's really not a good idea for me to interfere too much. My quirk can cause discrepancies when I use it to affect the dimensions of others. That's how I accidentally trapped my friends in a timeloop for several years.

So it's better off if I just keep to my own devices. I try to only manipulate reality on larger scales outside of established dimensions, where nobody can be hurt or warped.

It's kind of complicated. A lot of what I can do is limited strictly by imagination, so some of it doesn't make very much sense if you try to explain it logically.

Think of it like you're in an anime, and you have certain tropes and motifs that are essential to your character. Like if you had a gimmick of being kind of lemon-themed or something. Maybe you were always drinking lemon tea or something, and you were blonde, and-

Mm, switch it to peaches actually. That's better. You're peach-themed.

So then when I go to make you a costume, it's not really me individually putting every atom together - I'm just telling the universe, hey, take a look at everything that makes up this reporter's persona, and then make her a costume. And then it comes out peach-themed, because that's part of your presence in the universe. Part of your character.

“Wouldn’t you be able to do this too? Isn’t light part of reality? Now that I think of it, you could have plenty of quirks by manipulating reality.”

Their theme would definitely change. At that point, you'd warrant a redesign, which can be hit or miss. But sometimes they breathe new life into a dated character. I tend to ham up the drama a bit on costumes I make regardless though.

His focus remains on the light, Isekai leaning in closer with curiosity and gently touching a fingertip to it, almost like a cat investigating something new.

And I should be able to do this just fine, yeah. But I haven't before, and I've never seen anybody else do it, so it's neat.

“You can poke it all you want, it doesn’t hurt or burn. I don’t think I can do anything more with it. Well, I could make it bigger or change its shape but the effect would be the same. I must admit it’s quite useful when I don’t find the light switch in my room.”

A favourite quirk...I'm not sure. I think I'm partial to the quirks my friends have. One For All. Rewind. Overhaul. Things like that. But it's not really the quirk that matters to me. I just like the memories and people that are associated with those quirks.

I don't think quirks are really important, honestly, but I get that that's probably weird for me to say, and I'm probably wrong.

“One…for All? I don’t know that one but it has a cool name. Rewind is self explanatory I think. And Overhaul…that is also the name of that villain who kidnapped a little girl. You are friends with him? Maybe I’m just mistaken, I just don’t know anyone else with a quirk named like that.”

Isekai had called himself a villain but he seemed pretty chill. He had even fulfilled her silly request of hero costumes. She couldn’t understand how he could like someone like Overhaul when he was friends with heroes like Deku.

“You aren’t wrong, I’m making the same mistake I criticize. Measuring people by their quirks it’s not okay. I just get excited when seeing new quirks, it’s fun and there are so many possibilities. Who knew I would meet a person able to manipulate reality? That’s amazing (and scary). Since you are perfectly able of copying my quirk, do you want me to teach you how to use it? It’s pretty easy.”

“I promised to teach you how to use my quirk so I’ll do it. For someone with a power like yours, it should be pretty easy. First, I use a body part to concentrate the energy around me, I usually use my hands because it allows me the illusion of thinking I’m molding the light.”

She closes her eyes and extends one of her hands.

“Then, I imagine all the energy swirling on the palm of my hand and I think about compressing it in a simple form, like a ball.”

As she talks a small ball of light starts glowing in the palm of her hand, joining the other one she had previously created. Then, she fuses them together, creating a bigger sphere of light.

“Ta-dah! Now that’s done, I think I should return home.”

Hikari was waiting in a corner, holding a camera in her hands while waiting for something interest to happen. Her boss had assigned to keep watch in one of Musutafu´s busiest streets. He was convinced that a robbery or a fight would eventually happen, and he had placed reporters everywhere, ready to film a battle between heroes and villains.

Hikari was so bored. She could be doing something useful or at least keep working on her article, but no, she was sent to wait on the streets like an idiot. She hoped she could get at least an interesting photo of a hero.

Hikari glances at her wrist.

“Do you need medical attention? If your wrist hurts too much, I’ll accompany you to the hospital. Unless you would rather call your parents.”

Hikari was waiting in a corner, holding a camera in her hands while waiting for something interest to happen. Her boss had assigned to keep watch in one of Musutafu´s busiest streets. He was convinced that a robbery or a fight would eventually happen, and he had placed reporters everywhere, ready to film a battle between heroes and villains.

Hikari was so bored. She could be doing something useful or at least keep working on her article, but no, she was sent to wait on the streets like an idiot. She hoped she could get at least an interesting photo of a hero.

Hikari looks at the both of them in confusion, not knowing what to do. The girl looked like a UA student but Hikari couldn’t just stand still while the poor girl was in the middle of a fight.

“Hey you! I’m recording everything! Let her go or I will call the police! I have proof of your crime!”
