Phoenix Comicon Here We Come!!!

Hello all! Phoenix Comicon is in a few days and some of us will be there if you want to say hi or hang out! Airabella will be there all weekend, but late on Saturday. Topaz and Gallimau-free will be there on Friday only (Come see us in the J-Fashion show!). Squirrelly will be there both Friday and Saturday. Unfortunately, MidnightShadow is out of the country right now, so she will not be going.  Lilac will also be unable to attend. We have some cool new cosplays to wear and we are super excited!! I was making a mockup for Mako's skirt since my pattern didn't work out, and my fabric was the same color of Miku's skirt in Rolling Girl.  Its pretty bad, the skirt is uneven, the pleats are weird, the wig should be in the trash, and there are three different colored threads in the skirt.  Whatever, the skirt is a mockup anyway, and like a mockup, I know what to do on the real thing now.

I am really upset.  I got this nice pleated skirt pattern because I am afraid of pleats, but the picture on the front is totally misleading and it doesn't pleat all the way around and now what.......Stupid pattern.....

Wow so starting on a Yuru yuri cosplay since fall band season ends soon, (this saturday, for my group), and winter auditions are in a month or so, so I have some freedom aka frantic redemption sewing time. This is kind of familiar oh wait it's my Kyoko wig and fabric. Bias tape is super cheap at SAS btw, it's on the back wall next to the ribbons. I feel like a loser for buying it in packs. I want to do a dangan ronpa cosplay but wigs are throwing me off and I need suggestions. ~Lilac

So, if you saw in the last picture I posted, I was kind of holding the hat to my head. Any suggestions on how to secure it to my wig? Thanks

u hair pins are the best. i suggest you to sew them directly onto the hat so you can just stick them right into your wig. they’re quite secure like i’ve used 4 to attach a pretty heavy (though small) crown to my head.
