This is a serious message for ARMY
Yes, I’m a meme account, and no, you don’t have to accept my opinion. I was actually planning to stay silent about the whole thing but I have reached my breaking point.
ARMY, please, I need your help. 2018 is coming up and we have some new year’s resolutions to make.
Seeing as BTS are working hard for us, let’s work hard for them.
We are seen as a cancerous and toxic fandom to a lot of people, because of a lot of immature people doing all sorts of things from commenting on unrelated videos or articles things about BTS (which might not sound that bad but please, don’t do it) to starting fan wars with other fandoms for no reason.
Let 2018 be the year when we make an effort to stop this, the year when we at least start to change.
It’s terrible that we, a part of the fandom who are supposed to love and respect each other, make other fans turn away from us because of toxic behaviour.
-Please keep BTS/ARMY comments to BTS related videos. Some people find that annoying and cringy, I know you’re trying to find more fans that have more in common with you, but try finding them in a more conventional place, like tumblr, army amino, or twitter.
-Do not start any fan wars, it’s not worth it, and it’ll only end up making you look bad
-DON’T EVER DISRESPECT/INSULT OTHER KPOP IDOLS OR WESTERN ARTISTS. DON’T DO IT.
-this does not mean you have to like the artist or the idol but you should ALWAYS treat them with as much respect as you want non-kpop fans to treat BTS with
-In addition, ALWAYS respect other fandoms, in general of course, but other kpop fandoms specifically. The Idols in other groups are working just as hard as BTS and deserve to be treated with the same respect.
-If anyone is being rude to you or insulting you repeatedly on social media, blocking them or reporting them is a better option than starting a pointless argument.
-If you know a fan who’s not following one of these, please polietly tell them
Please, please pass it on, doesn’t matter if you’re multifandom or only a BTS stan! Even if you’re not THAT much of a fan, help us make a better name for ourselves, let’s get to other places, to youtube, to twitter, let those who gave up on BTS because of the fandom know that we are trying to change!
I’m sure I’m not the first one trying to do this, but one more try can do no harm!
Translate this message to your language, pass it on, reblog, make people notice it, put it anywhere!
Let’s make some positive hashtags for this and make ‘em trend on twitter or something!
I know we can do it if we only try ARMY!
Please. if you have a youtube channel, talk about this or post this, even if it’s a meme account like mine. if you have a twitter account, you are more than welcome to screenshot this or spread this.
Let’s all be respectful and kind.
