More headcanons anyone? Beastly used to be a human before he was cursed by NoHeart to be a.... whatever the hell he is. He's actually 30 years old with a 3rd grade education. While he's awful at reading and writing- he has a strange talent in mechanics and is insanely resourceful- aka he can turn trash into functional trash.

He's NoHeart's most useful maintenance man, despite his lack of book smarts. (art and design by DeathRay )

NoHeart gave Shreeky her mirror and a book of simple magic spells when she was very young, and after she showed a lot of magical talent, her parents and NoHeart made an agreement, where he'd keep her as an apprentice.

Her main test subject was poor Beastly at first, but after she turned him into a toad- NoHeart realized that this will be inconvenient to him because he needs his assistant. So, he told her to turn her experimentation to the Care Bears so he can work in peace.

If Unlock The Magic wants to be for Care Bears what Friendship Is Magic was for My Little Pony, then they absolutely should not pass up on bringing in new versions of classic G1 villains in addition to the new villains, like FiM did with Tirek and Grogar. But I’d ESPECIALLY want to see a new take on No Heart, and Beastly along with him. Please, don’t miss this chance, UtM! I demand that my childhood get a modern recreation here, dammit!

my gf and I decided to redesign Mr. Beastly and Shreeky from the old Care Bears. Y'know... the best characters in the series? lol We also wrote some lore for them.

Beastly is basically a bat, he used to be a human before No Heart turned him into what he is now. Shreeky drives him up a wall because he has sensitive ears with her screaming. He can't read, but Shreeky makes him write the bears menacing notes anyway. every other word is misspelled. Figuring out what the hell he wrote is a game at this point.

Shreeky was gifted a magic mirror by her uncle No Heart and now wants to be a witch, she does everything to impress him and learn evil magic.

anyway I have no idea what possessed us to do this, but might as well share our word vomit. enjoy
