is there a way to recover unsaved files on windows?

If you have the latest version of FireAlpaca (feature added with 1.7.0, improved with a couple of subsequent bug fixes) and you have turned on the autosave feature under File menu, Environment Setting, then maybe.

Try the Help menu, Open Config File and check the autosave folders.

You can check your version under Help menu, About. Current version 1.7.3

For virus safety, only download new versions from the official site at http://firealpaca.com/en

You can install new versions over the top of an existing version. 

Also, I recommend you read these recommendations about safe saving and workflow.
