Just a rant but the cookie run fandom is low-key annoying me. Like we get it, Black Sapphie Cookie won best cookie of the year 2025, and sure some members of the community are upset. Sure it makes sense that everyone is entitled to their own options, but that doesn't mean you should attack someone for liking overrated cookies. I personally like Black Sapphire Cookie because I genuinely like his personality and looks, and he reminds me of a few of my favourite characters. But back to the rant, the fandom needs to take a chill pill. Literally. And honestly, I could even compare this fandom to the DSMP fandom I was once in as one of the more problematic ones I've been in. The fandom is way too sensitive and takes their preference too seriously to the point they would actively attack others for liking a diff character or a ship. These competitions held by devsis are mainly for the fun of it and aren't supposed to be taken seriously. Futhermore, for those who say "Oh, but Black Sapphire Cookie will get a costume!" If you look at it closely, it is separated by "Friends" and "Legendary" which most likely implies that the Legendary section of the award will get the costume. And also, when did Devsis even promise that?! Honestly, this entire community is like under Shadow Milk's influence. Just because someone makes some random theory about it, doesn't mean you actually have to believe it. Like do the fandom even fact check first? It's not just that, but don't even get me started on the fandom's unnecessary beef with the VA. Majority of the Cookie Run's VA aren't problematic and yet the community still finds a way to attack them as a form of 'ragebait'. If you guys didn't know, there is one tiktoker who made allegations of PVC's VA to be a pdf which is absolutely not true in the form of ragebait. That could absolutely ruin someone's life like that one time Google ai mistaken that singer with another person who is a pdf with the same name. Genuinely, what is wrong with the community. This fandom is too gullible, too naïve, too immature, too stupid, too sensitive over the things which aren't meant to be taken seriously, too aggressive... Must I go on?
Of course, the fandom still has a better side like fanarts, genuinely okay interactions and has yet to fall down the rabbit hole like Hetalia (which is somewhat improving) and Hazbin Hotel. It still has hope to be a decent fandom and genuinely believe that it has the potential. But with all due sakes, I beg the community to actually reflect on their actions, please?
