TYPE A…B…C: FIND YOUR MANDIRA BEDI SAREE SOULMATE MATCHING YOUR PERSONALITY
A mountain of research has been conducted trying to decode the mysteries of different human personalities. The goal of most of these investigations has been to improve our interactions with each other in a way that’s enriching and productive for everybody. Personality types have been studied to find careers, jobs, mates, friends …heck even shades of lipsticks best suited to an individual. Because the fact remains that like our fingerprints no two people are identical and everyone aspires to imprint their own personal touch on everything.
All of this psycho-babble might be a massive snooze-fest to those who consider it mostly gibberish because in the end there is no one-size-fits-all solution for every problem. But for those who enjoy the less quantitative pleasures of life and believe in horoscopes, the cosmos, energies or even the latest ‘How to make a man fall in love with you all over again’ type of articles plastered across every girly magazine, we figured why not have some fun with it and match personalities with sarees. Sure, it might seem frivolous and probably ridiculous but then what’s life without a little bit of crazy?
Ironically, the origins of the sarees we are about the match up also started with some amount of madness and hysteria. It all started when actress Mandira Bedi was roped in to be a commentator for the ICC Cricket World Cup. The move was made with the idea of creating a connection with the cricket watching female audience and adding a bit of glitz and glamour to a totally male dominated sport. Ms. Bedi’s stylist decided to dress her in the quintessential nine yard garment because there is nothing more Indian ladylike than a saree! Little did they know that her on-screen sarees and spaghetti strap blouses would become as much the talk of the nation as Sachin Tendulkar’s innings and the rest as they say is history.
After two successful tournaments commentating for the ICC Cricket World Cup that saw her enviable sarees and blouses splashed across the fashion and style sections of all major national newspapers and magazines, it didn’t take long for Mandira to realise that she had stumbled upon an extremely unique opportunity. Women across the world simply adored her style and would absolutely make a beeline for her range of sarees. Mandira responded with as much enthusiasm and created her own collection of sarees mirroring the styles that made her famous.
So in keeping with the theme of a little bit of whimsy, we figured it would be a riot to match up Madira Bedi’s sarees with psychologically proven types of human personalities in the hopes that while trying to decode your own personality type you also fall in love with one of her beautiful creations. Mandira Bedi Sarees for Personality Type A
Most people often describe highly-strung individuals as Type A. The expression might be slang but there is some truth in the comparison as Type A personalities are constantly striving to better themselves in all areas of life.
Type A personalities are all about outshining their competition and standing out in a crowd (in a good way) so it’s rather obvious that they also tend to be extremely stylish dressers. Their wardrobe choices are an extension of their personality, which is why they’re all about bold and edgy statement making fashion.
Mandira Bedi’s Black & White Silk Saree and Orange Sating Georgette Saree will appeal to their strong sense of right and wrong through colour contrasts. The Grey Geometric Pattern Saree with it’s see-through pallu is definitely one that will make heads turn when paired with a Mandira Bedi inspired noodle strap blouse and the Embroidered Monochrome Pallu Saree works for those who love the concept of a differentiated pallu but prefer something covered up.
Mandira Bedi Sarees for Personality Type B
In a nut shell, Type B personalities are the equivalent of that chilled out laid back holiday destination by the beach where no one is in a hurry to get anywhere and everyone is constantly smiling. Type B people are almost always happy and life’s problems roll off them like water from a duck’s back.
They are content being themselves and aren’t out to prove anything to the world which is clearly reflected in their personal style. Not ones to go for anything too complicated, Type B personalities are all about fuss-free comfortable fashion that’s appropriate for any social situation but not over the top.
The Ochre Shaded Saree and Pink to Peach Half and Half Saree by Mandira Bedi have the right balance between dressy and simplistic to appeal to their sensibilities. Similarly the White Paisley Motif Saree and Grey Silk Embroidered Saree with their basic weaves and modest contrasts are also likely to find a place in the Type B person’s closet.
Mandira Bedi Sarees for Personality Type C
Extremely attentive to detail and overly analytical people fall into the Type C personality category. Type C people are most likely introverts but they also notice everything.
Type C personalities are very mindful of their choices and don’t make hasty decisions because it’s in their nature to really think things through. They tend to be meticulous dressers who will brood over an outfit for hours ensuring every single aspect is complete.
The Half Black Half White Saree and Yellow and Green Silk Saree with their beaded translucent pallus will have a Type C personality’s detail loving heart singing with glee. They will also enjoy the Embroidered Graphic Lines Saree in Red and mull over the placement of the pallu until it’s just right while the Half Half Hot Pink Saree with it’s grey beaded accents will give them the chance to strategically plan their matching grey accessories.
