It was like Vanessa had read her mind. But it was true that she loved doing all those things and she wanted to keep doing them no matter what it took. 

But was it true that she was holding Art and Deco back? She knew that she was indecisive, she knew that she wasn’t a person to focus easily. But despite all that she loves what she does. She wanted Vanessa to know that she wasn’t going to give up music. 

“I do love doing all those things…. and I won’t stop doing them. No matter what you say. Focusing may be hard, deciding things may be hard for me, but I want to do what I love! That’s a definite decision of mine.” Mona said, trying not to show Vanessa her doubt. 

She wanted to look sure of herself, to show her rival that she is not backing down from this fight. 

       “ fine, whatever you say, mona !  ” normally she’d be upset; she did just give out what was --- in her eyes --- some great advice, but it doesn’t matter if mona doesn’t want to take it. in the end the only career she’ll ever care about is her own, so as far as she’s concerned all three of them can sink. “ i’ll keep the studio warm for whenever you make time between all your beloved hobbies and jobs to actually record another song with your group, okay ?  ”

       she can’t help but grin to herself after conveying that; vanessa had forgotten how good it feels whenever she’s able to put the multitasker in what she feels is her rightful place beneath her. “ all i ask is that you guys come up with something worthy of the number two spot. it has to at least be tolerable if it’s coming before one of my songs in the number one spot. ”

Mona couldn’t help but be speechless as she saw her rival approach her. It’s been a while, hasn’t it? That Vanessa had something to say, and it sure wasn’t pretty. 

“You think I’d quit something that I love doing? You think I’d get tired of making music?” She felt both anger and doubt swirling inside of her. She didn’t want her rival thinking she was so cowardly she’d quit but at the same time, she was right about being a one hit wonder. 

She’d do anything to prove that Vanessa wrong. 

        “ i don’t understand how you find it surprising, ” to vanessa it’s pretty obvious why she thinks the way she does about mona’s music career, but if she needs to break it down a little more for mona to understand then she’ll have no problem doing so. “ look, don’t get use to this, but i’m going to give you some free advice: i know you’re a pizza delivery girl but don’t you have like a gillion other jobs too ?  you have to have focus to make it in the business, mona. ” okay, enough with the encouragement --- time for some discouragement, “ --- but i know what you’re going to say ‘ i love doing all those things ’ , right ?  that’s why i think you should quit; at this point you’re only going to hold art and deco back with your indecisiveness !  ”

       “ don’t you ever get tired of trying to play the part of pop star ?” she waits until the two of them are alone to speak her mind.it’s very irksome in vanessa’s eyes; having to continue to share the stage and the spotlight with someone who in her eyes --- isn’t as committed this is she is, someone who just so happens to be apart of a group that got a ( very ) lucky break. “ --- quit while you’re ahead, mona ! do you really think you’ll ever have a chance at being more than just a one hit wonder ? ” /  @adventurousmona

He always thought himself too cool for this kind of thing.  Money was always more important in his mind.  But now things are different, and he has no idea why.

       “ it’s pretty simple actually, wario !  ” she turns a blind eye to his reddening face. though it does make her even more sure of the fact that wario has to care about this girl and it makes her even more sure she’s doing the right thing in nudging him forward in asking her out. “ just take out your phone and ask her if she wants to hang out. you don’t have to even say the word ‘date’ if it makes you nervous. ”

Seemed like friends to him, but maybe Mona saw something he didn’t.

“Hangin’ out with her more often would be pretty cool.”

        “ then you should ask her out on a date ! ” that’s what two people do when they want to get to know each other better, after all !   “ and as much as i would love to see the two of you at mona pizza again, i think you should go off somewhere by yourselves ! one on one time makes getting to know each other easier.  ” she’ll just have to try and resist the urge to follow them when they do.

He wondered if Mona even knew he hasn’t exactly fallen in love with anyone in his life, Wario doesn’t know the signs!  Its easier to tell when it happens to other people!    

       “ complicated means there’s something there, right ? or you would have just denied it... ” she’s getting excited !  this is something she can definitely work with. “ can you describe the feeling ? the symptoms of falling for someone are usually pretty similar. ”

       “ great !  the first step is completed ! ” she causally ignores his question. she definitely hasn’t been following him around hoping to catch him out on a date with her or anything like that... “ next step ! admit you meant that in a way that’s not just as a friend ! then, i’ll be able to help you. ”

       “ you’re never going to get anyone to like you with that attitude ! ” she sighs, when will he ever learn ? if he doesn’t at least try his hand at love there’s no way she can do anything to make it happen for him. “ admit it,  you like her !  that’s the first step... ” / @gamesandgarlic​

Momotaro presents a box full of flower shaped cookies to Mona. These were carefully iced, like perfect for a bakery display. "H-Happi White Day, Ona-senpai! Th-Thank kyuu f-for h-hard w-work! G-Good p-partonah!"

       “ these are so cute, momo !  ” she doesn’t know much about white day traditions but she’s touched all the same !  getting to know momo and working alongside him these past few months have definitely been a highlight in a year that’s already been pretty eventful for her.

       “ thank you !  you’re super hardworking too, momo !  working with you makes the day go by like breeze !  ” she takes the box and closes it, grinning from ear to ear at just the thought of having a friend who is this good to her. she might as well try and do something to return the favor. mona has been meaning to invite him over for another friends night anyway. “ we can share this at my house, yeah ? ” she says to him with a smile, “ i found a movie earlier i think we both could enjoy ! are you up for staying over ? ”
