We are the generation of nostalgia. We grew up in the age of transition. From hand-written letters to electronic mails. From film to digital. We were fascinated by new things, neglecting the way we spend our afternoons. Cupcakes and tea. Play-Doh and Polly Pockets. Young and naive. Technology completely changed the way we waited and we grew up too fast. The simple things in life seems more meaningful now. We grew up in the age of transition and have become the generation of nostalgia.

From, To
Two months into our relationship you once asked me how much I loved you and I just said “From here”. You didn’t get it and you got mad and thought I was playing around.
Breaking up after almost two years together, I sent you a message 6 months later saying “To Here”.
You still didn’t get it.
How sad is it that when we’re single and lonely we want someone to be with, to hold and laugh with. But when we’ve got that person in our grasp we want to be alone and free?
You always want what you can’t have.

It is funny how you do not miss affection until it is given, but once it is, it can never be enough; you would drown in it if possible.
