Have you noticed how there is this ongoing theme of stranger things characters finding themselves in danger in the upside down and immediately calling out their significant other’s name? Nancy calling for Johnatan and viceversa, Will and El calling for Mike, Max calling for Lucas and Dustin etc.

Do you know who is the only exception? Billy. When he finds himself alone and scared during the possession scene, he does not call for anyone.

He is utterly alone, and he knows it.

And the worst thing is that Vecna did too.
